Itinerary

30 min

After meeting your guide in San Telmo, listen to a quick safety briefing before receiving your bike (a comfy beach cruiser) and helmet. Then hop on to begin your leisurely ride.

30 min

Begin in Puerto Madero, the newest neighborhood in the city. Its old docks have been transformed into restaurants, lofts and offices, which boast incredible views of the city. You will have a stunning view of "Río de la Plata" and the city of Buenos Aires.

30 min

From there, ride through Recoleta, famous for its French-style buildings and large parks. Here you will be admiring family mansions, luxury hotels and embassies. You will pass through the Laws University and the sculpture Floralis Generica.

20 min

See Recoleta Cemetery, where legendary Argentinians like Eva Peron (aka Evita) are buried, and pass through Barrio Norte, an informal name given to a lively section of Recoleta around Santa Fe Avenue.

60 min

Then head toward the district of Palermo – Buenos Aires’ largest neighborhood. Pedal to Palermo Woods, the city’s largest park, where you can admire its rose garden with more than 400 rose bushes. See more of the park’s sights, including the Buenos Aires Zoo, the Botánical Garden, Plaza Italia, Galileo Galilei Planetarium and the Spaniard’s Monument.

Pass by

Throughout your tour, your guide will tell you about Buenos Aires’ rich history and provide commentary about the sites you’re passing. You’ll also break periodically to stretch your legs and take photos. Your tour concludes 3 hours later at the original departure point.

So much fun! Best bike tour!

Great experience and yes an experience not just a bike tour Loved we were off main roads and learned so much about the locals. Pace was perfect and bike were good. Julian knows his stuff and easy to understand.

Recalling bike sights

For those who like to ride a bike and already have some knowledge of the city. It was good, but it could be better if the bikes were better and if it wasn't compulsory to stop at all the traffic, even if it was visibly free. It took time and tired in the retakes on the bike without a move. The guide Fernanda knows the places well and is proud of her city. But we don't have time on the stops. Three hours of constant pedal.

Great ride but little information

It was a great long bike ride and the guide was nice, but there was very little information given along the way and we saw so many things of interest that could have been talked about. We still really enjoyed the ride and got ideas of places where we want to return during our stay. It was a great way to start the trip.

Operator response

Dear Craig, We are so happy to hear about your experience. We are pleased to know that you enjoyed the ride. We hope to see you again! Best regards, Tangol.

Disappointing city tour. Pleasant but really lacking.

As others have commented: lots of riding but very little information or story. Thankfully, I like riding. We went on this after seeing a similar group the day before being shown the Monument Tower. That org was booked up for our afternoon, and they mentioned Bicicletta Naranja as an alternative. Bikes were ok. Guide was pleasant and might have been knowledgeable. We stopped about five times, maybe six in more than three hours. Most were for short, two minute, explanations. Two stops were much longer, where we'd be 'free' while guide looked after the bikes: 20 minutes in a park to view a rose garden. The other two customers went to see. We sat around. And 15 minutes to view the grave of Eva Peron. Other two had seen that, and were told they were 'free' to do as they liked. It was all just a bit lame. Five or six tiny explanations of things seen. I'm no better aware of the story of Argentina or Buenos Aires or anything than I was before. No doubt - judging by other management replies - this'll get a similar "we're sorry you feel that way..." but truth is this just not a good product/experience. Too lightweight, little substance. They really need to up their game. And now I find out (on here), I've been massively overcharged too :-(

Dear traveler, We are truly sorry to read that you did not enjoy this experience. For the regular tours we have specific areas where the guide explains the most important and relevant points since we cannot guide on the way. This is because, as the regular tours and Buenos Aires is a very big city, it is not possible to stop at every highlight. We offer other tours where you can find different alternatives, in relation to the itinerary where the guides can provide more information. However, we are glad to know that you enjoyed the bike ride around the city as this is our purpose! We appreciate your comments as it helps us improve the quality of our services. Kind regards, Tangol Travel Agency

WORST EXPERIENCE IN BUENOS AIRES

Do not waste your time. We booked an English-speaking tour - but, even as a native English speaker, I was unable to understand him - and we were not the only ones. The other native English speakers on the trip kept asking me if I knew what he had said. The tour says you will hit certain landmarks in approximately 3 to 3.5 hours. We did not hit a SINGLE one of the big attractions in the 3.5 hour period - we did not see Recoleta Cemetery, Casa Rosada, Buenos Aires Zoo, the Botanical Garden, or several other promised sites. The staff is also rude and unprofessional. I got a nasty email three days before my scheduled tour saying that I had missed the tour (they had the wrong date), and despite numerous requests for help with my helmet, the guide ignored me altogether. When I contacted the tour company to express my concerns, they made up a story about a conversation I allegedly had at the beginning of the tour, during which I said that I was "tired." This conversation never, ever happened. This was - by far - the worst experience we had in Buenos Aires and the worst experience I've ever had with a tour company on Viator.

Operator response

Dear Andrea Gordon, We are sorry to read that the bike tour did not meet all your expectations. The first message we sent you was a mistake, the booking number was wrong and this was notified immediately by our team to avoid confusion. The guide who made the excursion is a graduate guide, with experience guiding and who has also received intensive training in our tours. We understand that you were disappointed because the tour was a little late as you had a dinner and a phone call waiting. The tour was delayed because on that day there was a child participating who also defines the rhythm of the group. You decided to return before the end of the tour. When the tour was over, we asked all the passengers who took the tour that day and they answered that they were satisfied with the guide and the tour. However, we take this feedback and forward it to the guide as an opportunity to improve our services. In any case, we refunded 100% of the amount you paid for the service. We hope to have you again among our travelers so that you can enjoy the quality of our services and thus reverse your opinion. We appreciate your comments as they help us to improve the quality of our services. Kind regards, Tangol Travel Agency
