The visit to Mahabodhi temple was one of it's kind, highlighted by an excellent guide who took us on the tour of the temple. We reached the hotel in Bodhgaya at around 5pm and headed out by ourselves that evening to see the temple. The temple was beautiful by night. The lights around the temple were beautiful and lent an aura and charm to it. The vibrations I got whilst there were so calm and serene and my whole mind felt absolutely calm relaxed and peaceful. There is something powerful definitely around the Bodhi tree , which is the spot of Buddha's enlightment. The tree itself has been fenced and you can view the seat of Buddha from outside. The next day we headed out again and this time sought the services of a tour guide. Here I have to mention the guide- Deepak Kumar, who was par excellence. His family has specialised in being tour guides for generations . His knowledge on the philosophy of Buddhism and also history over the last 7 or 8 centuries is unparallel and unmatched. We were transported to the period as he recounted the events and significance. This made our visit truly exceptional. His number is 7992452814 and I strongly recommend him to anyone visiting the Mahabodhi temple.
