Exceptional garden! Worth visiting.
I wanted to visit the Boboli Gardens yesterday, and it was a huge disappointment to see that there are massive construction sites in this garden. It is unacceptable to charge visitors who cannot see the majority of the artworks. Given the extent of the construction, it would be advisable to lower the admission fee for the visit!!! I wanted to see the photos attached to my article
This review concerns only Boboli, which was a terrible disappointment compared to the first time I visited these gardens. Dirty; the design is no longer distinguishable due to little or no pruning. Only the surroundings of the Pitti Palace are acceptable. A shame
Excellent tour;however, it does not include vehicle transportation to Gardens - you will be walking.
What a disappointment, long queue for tickets, cash payment was the queue shorter, eventually being able to pay with CC Then again long line to enter Palace / garden, then again through the scanner 1/2 hour that will cost you
We were disappointed because, although we knew that this was not an ideal time to visit the gardens, much of it was inaccessible due to renovations. I imagine they're preparing the garden for the next few periods.
Our tour of the Boboli & Bardini Gardens was just amazing. I have been to Italy many times over the years, and love to take tours as the information I absorb from a local company/guide is so much better than a guide book. Italian Vista has been my go to for any tour. The Boboli/Bardini Garden tour was just wonderful. Hearing the background of the gardens, and walking with our guide made it even more special. The local guides have such knowledge, and what I enjoy the most is the small facts or backstory behind each place I tour. I like the small bits of information they gave me regarding the design, Florentine Families, and the entire process of the how and why of the gardens. The entire process from booking to tour was seamless. They have such a personal touch and are truly interested in sharing their knowledge of Florence and beyond.
Our guide Daniela came on time to pick us up at the hotel. She is friendly, knowledgable and very helpful. She gave us a lot of information about all the buildings and bridges we saw on the way to the gardens. We loved our time with her. I would recommend having Daniela as a guide. She gave us all the main information on the history of the gardens. It's an amazing experience. The views from the gardens are breathtaking and amazing. Would recommend.
We had a great time in both gardens. Our guide Daniela gave us a history of all the various buildings and bridges on the way to the gardens. She is very knowledgeable and kind. She made the visit well worth it with lots of recommendations in what to visit next. We really enjoyed our time with her!
Very nice quiet walk, the gardens are very beautiful. Each space is different, this change of scenery allows you not to get tired.
