Upon arriving to the birthplace of musical legend Bob Marley, travelers will be invited to purchase and participate in some of the local activities before beginning the tour. Once the tour begins, guest will learn about tiny village in hills of St. Ann where Bob Marley was born, and fittingly, the place he’s now laid to rest. Although Bob Marley moved to Kingston at age 13 to live with his mother and to advance his music career, he would often return to Nine Miles to get away from the fast pace life of Kingston. Bob Marley wrote several of his hit songs when he was in St. Ann. The home features historical artifacts including the very bed Bob Marley slept in as a child and as an adult when he returned for many cooling visits. Guitars, awards, and photographs are on display along with the mausoleum, where his body lies along with his mother. Please remove your shoes before you enter as a sign of respect.

We enjoyed the day driving up to 9 miles from the cruise port. The ride was scenic amd our guide Odain made it fun and interesting. The visit to the mausoleum was interesting and a unique experience. We are really glad we spent our day in Jamaica on this tour.

We really enjoyed going. It is essential to have a guide in your language (in our case we hire in Spanish), so that he can tell you and explain the hundreds of stories and anecdotes that Bob Marley had in his life. The place guide (Archie) was great, but only in his English and without an interpreter would we have lost a lot of info. We found it very interesting. I recommend going.

I had such a great time visiting Bob Marley's birthplace and mausoleum! The tour was both informative and fun, offering a unique insight into the life and legacy of a true legend. Our driver was incredibly knowledgeable and polite, which made the journey even more enjoyable. While the drive was a bit bumpy (about an hour each way), it was absolutely worth it for the experience. Overall, an amazing day — I highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Jamaica!

Girls trip to Jamaica to celebrate a birthday and we couldn't leave without paying homage to the great Bob Marley. I came across this tour and decided to book it. Our guide Odain was life! He picked us up, had sunglasses waiting in the van for us and answered all of our questions He told us about the people and customs. He told us about great places to visit and went out of his way to give us an experience we would never forget. Barkey, our guide at Bob Marley's birthplace, filled, us with knowledge. The food and music at 9 mile was heaven. Make sure you ask for Odain. He has 5 new friends from the states. Make sure you tip your guides. They are worth it.

Awful experience we were in car accident on our way to the tour and never made. Tour company put us in the car of a stranger to take us back to the port. They said medical assistance could be provided by the ship and that is not accurate.
