Itinerary
You will already begin to relax on our floating lounge, before embarking on an unforgettable tour!
You will arrive in this picturesque fishing village, which still maintains its original identity. It houses a small port and is characterized by the colorful houses typical of the area.
You will discover from the sea one of the largest of the Borgate Marinare, the colorful villages of the Gulf of Poets. It houses an ancient Roman villa and an important base of the Italian Navy, headquarters of the Italian special forces.
You will be amazed by the remains of a tower in the middle of the sea dating back to the Maritime Republics, then used for strategic military purposes over the following centuries.
You will admire the wild nature of Palmaria Island, with its rocky beaches, majestic cliffs and hidden caves.
You will be fascinated by the mysterious Tino lighthouse, by the remains of the Second World War anti-aircraft tunnels dug into the rock and by the ruins of an ancient medieval abbey.
On this tiny island the remains of an ancient Etruscan temple are preserved and guests will be able to see the statue of Stella Maris up close, used to signal the Secca del Diavolo to sailors.
You will enter this incredible natural architecture by sea where legend has it that Byron used to dive to swim to Shelley, in nearby Lerici.
The most incredible town in Liguria. If you wish, you can spend some free time here or among its narrow streets full of shops or on its beaches, or stay on board to take a dip in the crystalline waters. You can go shopping in the shops of the Caruggio, a typical Ligurian alley, visit the romantic church of San Pietro, a small Gothic church built overlooking the sea on the tip of a promontory, enjoy an excellent lunch in one of the famous restaurants in the area without rushing.
You will finish the tour in our floating lounge in the middle of the Morin Promenade.

Absolutely fantastic tour, Our guide was amazing, so knowledgeable & passionate about the area. Learnt a lot @ also enjoying the stunning scenery along the way. Stop in Portovenere was long enough to visit the church and the rest of the town. Great trip out’
Really good trip, exactly as promised. Fred the boat captain and guide was great. Porto Vanere is a beautiful.place
This is a fantastic boat ride! Even in rough water, the boat was so smooth and enjoyable. Everything about it was easy and so interesting. It was a perfect way to pass an afternoon.
This is a small boat. Feels semi private. The guide was awesome and even stopped to let us swim. The best part was going to the seaside village and having lunch. The souvenir shops and restaurants were the best.
Without a doubt, the best choice of my weekend in Liguria. I didn't have high expectations since the area is very touristy, but I was greatly surprised. The feeling was like taking a boat ride with friends who love the sea, ready to share all the secrets and best nooks of the Gulf of Poets. I felt engaged from start to finish by the breathtaking views, the stories about the fishing villages, the legends surrounding the Archipelago of Portovenere, and moreover, the spot that Captain Leonardo chose for us to swim convinced me to take a plunge despite not being a good swimmer. If it is true that in good company even a priest gets married, this company will push you beyond your own limits! To be done again!!!!
You canceled out on me at the last minute and I was very very very upset. I had no other alternative activity planned and when I went to try to get to the islands, everything was booked so I sat in my hotel room all day.
Dear Susan, We're sorry you weren't able to join us — guests who do consistently rate us 5 stars. When an operational issue that didn't depend on us, affected the 12:30 departure, we reached out the afternoon before by WhatsApp, email, and through Viator, offering an alternative slot at 14:00. Susan replied that evening via Viator's chat, declining the change. A full refund was issued immediately. The full exchange is documented in the Viator booking thread. We're sorry the day didn't go as planned. The full exchange is documented in your Viator booking thread. HopHopBoat
We had booked the three islands tour in June, for five people. In the morning, the weather was uncertain, and they wrote to us a few hours before to inform us that they were not sure about the sea conditions. At the boarding, the reception staff explained the situation well and asked us the right questions. Instead of canceling, they proposed to change the route and take us where the sea was calmer, a solution we appreciated very much, because we still went out safely. Kind and clear, which is not at all taken for granted with the unpredictable weather. The skipper explained the safety part well before we departed. We had fun. Recommendation.
Totally fraudulent company - booked this genuinely by accident and called immediately to cancel and they ignored my request - Viator told me not to cancel as they would deal with the tour company and they have been just as bad no help on a genuine booking error
Hello, and thank you for taking the time to write. We're sorry the booking didn't work out the way you hoped. For other readers: HopHopBoat is a licensed boat tour operator in La Spezia, and this is a cancellation and refund matter, not fraud. The terms and conditions, including the cancellation and refund rules, are shown clearly before a booking is finalized and must be accepted to complete it. This booking was completed and paid in full, so those terms were accepted at checkout. We did receive your request, and under the cancellation policy that applied it did not qualify for a refund. We understand this was not the outcome you wanted.
I booked with Booking for 2. Unfortunately, I was alone due to a family emergency that occurred a few hours before with my partner. I requested a voucher to recover the missed trip. Their response: a 10% discount on a new booking. It did not seem honest to me.
Awesome! Tour and guide (Fredrico) was fun and very informative. Beautiful scenery. Well worth it. Got off and booked another trip up the coast. Everyone was very nice and helpful.
