Itinerary
8:30 AM - Your adventure begins with a comfortable, air-conditioned bus ride from Saigon to My Tho, a charming city on the banks of the Mekong River. Morning - Upon arrival in My Tho, our first stop is the serene Vinh Trang Temple, a beautiful blend of Vietnamese, Chinese, and Cambodian architectural styles. After exploring the temple, we’ll board a motorboat and begin our cruise along the Mekong River. As we glide across the water, you’ll have the chance to witness the unique sight of floating houses, where locals farm fish right beneath their homes.
Our river journey continues to Cồn Thới Sơn, also known as Unicorn Island. Here, we’ll take a scenic electric cart ride to a local performance site, where you can enjoy the soulful sounds of traditional Vietnamese music (Đàn Ca Tài Tử). This folk art form, recognized by UNESCO as an Intangible Cultural Heritage, will be accompanied by a tasting of delicious seasonal tropical fruits. Next, we’ll experience the tranquil beauty of the Mekong Delta on a small hand-rowed boat, slowly cruising through a peaceful creek lined with lush, overhanging coconut trees. Along the way, you’ll get a glimpse into the daily lives of the local people living along the creek.
Midday - Before lunch, we’ll visit a local bee-keeping farm, where you can sample honey tea and see a traditional Mekong house. Afterward, we’ll take a short walk to a local restaurant for a delicious lunch featuring regional specialties. Afternoon - After lunch, we’ll continue our journey by motorboat to a workshop where you’ll learn about the fascinating process of making coconut candies, a local delicacy. You’ll even have the chance to taste these sweet treats fresh from the workshop. 3:00 PM - With the memories of the day’s experiences, we’ll board the bus and head back to Ho Chi Minh City, arriving by approximately 5:00 PM.

We wanted to have an authentic experience in the Mekong Delta area, away from tourism and got a contact with Justin. After we got tuned our expectations for the trip we got sent a program for the days we were here We had some fantastic days with Justin as our guide, where we started from Ut Trinh homestay where we have experienced Tam Hiep oă bike and been with the hosts from our homestay in the kitchen and cooked with them. Overall a fantastic experience.
What a great trip this was and absolutely brilliant value for the money. From being picked up on time from the hotel, the bus journey, the visit to the Buddhas and the trip on the Mekong, everything was so we'll organised and planned. Timings were perfect. The fruit and tea tastings were a bonus and our lunch was a real treat and absolutely lovely. Together with a traditional boat ride, back on the Mekong, it really was a super memorable day. Thank you Leon
Lao was our Tour guide, he was so friendly , energetic and professional , we had a full day activity it was nice and the weather was amazing
Leon was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, professional, and a pleasure to spend time with. He made the effort to be sure everyone was having an enjoyable experience and let us know that he was capable of taking care of any snafu that might arise. The tour encompassed a walk through the Big Buddah garden, boat rides, a visit to a beekeeping facility that was really interesting, those of us who wanted to were able to hold a part of the actual hive and we were treated to several honey products and honey tea. We went to a big fish farm where we got the chance to watch fish and local crocodiles. The lunch was very tasty, and those that wanted could order a beer for about $1. In all, I highly recommend Leon and this tour.
