Karnak beats every other pharaonic monument: it is simply one of the most beautiful ancient monuments in Egypt.

Tomb of King Ramesses lX was the third pharaoh of the Twentieth Dynasty of the New Kingdom of Ancient Egypt. His name prior to assuming the crown was Amonhirkhopshef. He was the fifth son of Ramesses III and was appointed to the position of the crown prince by the twenty-second year of his father's reign when all four of his elder brothers predeceased his promotion to the crown prince. The tomb has so much color and detail even the ceiling above

In Egyptian mythology, Ptah is the demiurge of Memphis, god of craftsmen and architects. In the or simply in its falcon form of the new deity, it began to be placed in tombs to accompany and protect the dead on their journey to the West of Luxor. Tomb 8, which is located in the Valley of the Kings, was the burial place of the Pharaoh Merneptah and is the model of royal tombs Merneptah was a son of Ramesses II and Queen Isis-Nofret.the tomb was discovered by Howard Carter in 1903. Of course, there is a material decrease in the number of lateral roots and a dramatic increase in the height of the corridors and rooms. He did away with the jogged axis used since the time of Horemheb and instead built the entire tomb on a single axis. Also, for the first time, the entrance was made considerably wider than earlier tombs.

Admission included25 min

The tomb of Ramesses III, designated as KV 11, is a complex system in the Valley of the Kings. It has been known since antiquity, the wonderful decorations include colorful painted sunken reliefs featuring the traditional ritual texts (Litany of Ra, Book of Gates, etc) and Ramses before the gods. Unusual here are the secular scenes, in the small side rooms of the entrance corridor, showing foreign tributes, such as highly detailed pottery imported from the Aegean, the royal armoury, boats and, in the last of these side chambers, the blind harpists that gave the tomb one of its alternative names: ‘Tomb of the Harpers.

Amazing experience

We had the best day on our tour of Luxor. We spent plenty of time at each location and didn’t feel rushed. Our tour guide, Mohamed, was incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. He not only did a great job explaining everything to us but he also told us some interesting things about Luxor while on the drive and took us to places like a restaurant and some shops that we wouldn’t have known about ourselves. We didn’t feel pressured to buy anything and he helped fend off unwanted attention from sellers at bazars, we felt very safe. All in all we had an unforgettable experience and learnt so much while having such a fun time.

Exploitative & Stressful

We had a deeply disappointing experience with Dr. Mo’s tours in Luxor. While Luxor itself is breathtaking, this tour was riddled with unethical practices and felt like a constant money grab. 1. Overcharging: The guide insisted on handling the payment for King Tutankhamun’s tomb, charging $35 per person instead of the actual fee of 700 Egyptian pounds (around $10/pp). This was confusing and clearly a deliberate overcharge. Do not fall for his scam. 2. Broken Promises: It was not a "luxury car" as advertised and even the basics like bottled water were not provided. Instead, we were taken to a venue where drinks like Gatorade were sold for £7 each. 3. Unethical Practices: We were forced into a restaurant with only one unpriced menu option and no alternatives (which turned out to be £22/pp!-- an average Egyptian lunch is £3/pp), and taken to the guide’s friend’s shop where we felt pressured to buy items that were not as described. These detours wasted valuable time and were clearly designed for the guide’s benefit. Thankfully, Viator provided us with a full refund after we reported these issues. Be cautious—most of the positive reviews for this tour are for the hot air balloon ride, not the guided tour. Save yourself the stress, Luxor deserves better than this.

Japanese tour for a family of four on the East and West Bank of Luxor

Our guide, MO, was fluent in Japanese and very easy to understand. He has a great sense of humor and brightens up the atmosphere. The restaurant he recommended was delicious and we ended up going back the next day. The tour did not include the Luxor Temple, but we paid an additional fee to have it included in the tour. I'm glad we went with a guide.

Luxor Day

Well planned day in Luxor. Dr Mo was very knowledgeable and friendly. We had a great time, so much to see and do in Luxor. We started at Luxor temple (entry was extra + 35€ guide per person), then we went to essential oil shop (can try and buy), then off to Karnak which was amazing and probably our favorite of the day. Followed by papyrus making shop, (can also buy souvenirs), we then decided to head to the West Bank via boat with local lunch (additional 50€ per person). Once on the West Bank, we visited Colossi of Memnon, followed by Valley of the Kings. (paid extra for tomb of king Tut), followed by a factory for stone sculptures and souvenirs. Had a very private and quiet time at Temple of Hatshepsut, final boat ride across the Nile and ended on a sunset. Over all a great day, lots of optional extras, so pick and choose as you wish to do as little or as much as preferred. We spent about 250€ extra to do everything, but we felt se saw everything there is to see in Luxor. Food was great and made memories for life.

Very informative tour guide & great tour overall

Most certainly Dr. Mo is one of the most informative and knowledgeable guides I have ever had. He has a wealth of knowledge and I would recommend him & the tour. Maybe the lunch was not worth the upsell of $35 but I was informed of the price and what to expect in advance. However, overall a great tour and great guide and I would do it again & recommend.

There will be no second time

There were a lot of problems, such as lies about the price (mixing dollars and euros), negligence on the part of the guide (leaving midway), and lies about the tour contents (whether or not meals were included).
