We were disappointed with the added stop at a ceramics and olive oil shops that were not mentioned in the itinerary. We felt this was deceptive not including it in the itinerary, the time spent there was time we couldn’t spend in Lindos which is the main reason for selecting the tour. When you are on a cruise you have limited time in the port and we didn’t appreciate the shopping opportunity disguised as showing local handiwork. We had already hand many local handiwork tours in other areas pushed upon us. Tour operators should disclose the entire itinerary so tourists can chose what best fits their interests.
We regret to hear about your disappointment, but the Savvas Ceramics stop is clearly mentioned in the itinerary as number 2. This stop was not included for shopping, but to introduce our guests to an important part of local culture and heritage and to show the traditional pottery-making process, which has remained largely unchanged since ancient times. Fortunately, the majority of the group appreciated this stop and provided glowing feedback. The time spent at Savvas Ceramics, as well as the time in Lindos, was delivered as advertised. By the way, your expectation of a private tour, which you shared with the guide upon meeting at the port, remains puzzling, as this is a shared tour that has never been advertised as private. Private tours are clearly labelled as PRIVATE directly in the tour title and usually cost at least three times more than shared tours. When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the published tour description, itinerary, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels
The pick was right at my ship, the van was clean and cool. Travel guide was knowledgeable and very helpful
Pottery and olive oil stop was great. There was plenty of products to choose from and watching the artisans at work was amazing. The time at the old section could have been better utilized to include more historical information.
Tour was interesting. Guide seemed a little impatient at times but did know what she was talking about.
Picked up on time from our hotel and taken to a rendezvous point to board the coach. Coach was comfortable and it was easy to hear our guide through the PA system. We were given Bluetooth earphones to hear the guide when on foot. The guide was excellent. Informative and interesting to listen to. Overall a good trip that we’re pleased we took.
Our guide, Iosnna, was excellent. She was extremely knowledgeable and shared so much information about Lindos and Rhodes. Our driver, Nikkos, was amazing as well. We enjoyed everything from the local pottery and olive oil shops to the ancient buildings. I would definitely recommend this tour!
We had a great time on this tour. The pottery shop and olive oil tasting was a great way to start the day. As soon as we got the the Acropolis, it started to pour down rain so we didn't get to go to the top or explore much of the area. We did get a few good pics in. The wine tasting was fun and the food at the restaurant was delicious. My friend went back to port on the bus but I stayed in town and walked around. It was less than a 15 minute easy walk back to port.
The tour guide JOANNA (IOQNNA DERMATI) was excellent. She told us the interesting history of Rhodes and gave very good explanations of the places we visited. When visiting Lindos, she arranged transportation for those with walking difficulties. We had a very enjoyable tour of Rhodes. Thank you very much Johanna and thanks to the driver also!
Great and punctual tour guide. Amazing stops including olive oil, pottery and the wonderful little town in Rhodes. We also had a wine tasting that was fabulous. Dimitria was very knowledgeable and informative. We really enjoyed our tour.
It was a great day that included seeing all the great sites, visiting a third generation pottery maker, olive oil and honey tasting and shopping. Our tour guide was amazing.!
