Please Note: Our expert guide will take you to all the sites listed in the itinerary, not just a select few. To ensure an authentic experience, we intentionally avoid overly touristy spots, allowing us to offer you a unique and unparalleled perspective of the region. Our first stop is a silk cocoon market, where sericulturists bring in millions of silk cocoons for sale. It's an astonishing sight to behold. With insights from our expert guide, you'll learn about the various stages of the famed Mysore silk production — from the cocoon to the yarn, which is then woven into cloth before becoming a wearable garment.

Admission included45 min

We believe food is an integral part of an Indian cultural experience; hence we start our tour early and detour from the highway to visit a traditional eatery serving authentic local breakfast. Here our accompanying guide will take you through a sumptuous culinary experience.

Admission included60 min

We get off the highway for an extended detour through lush countryside to reach this stunning UNESCO World heritage temple from 1268 AD. Some of humankind's most exquisite stone carvings and sculptures are here. Our accompanying expert guide will introduce its history, Hinduism, its pantheon of gods, and the context of each beautiful carving.

Admission included90 min

We explore this bejewelled palace, among the most visited sites in India and the home of one of the wealthiest individuals in the world in its heyday – the Maharaja of Mysore. From our accompanying expert guide, learn about the Wodeyar rulers and their incredible contributions to putting this region on the global map as we leisurely survey and explore the interiors & exteriors of this dazzling palace.

Admission included30 min

Our accompanying expert guide will take you through a stroll inside an 1880s market stuck in a time warp. As you take a walk back in time, marvel at the sights, smells and sounds of the shops & people in the bazaar selling the choicest fruits, flowers, vegetables, bangles and local produce such as Jaggery, Attar, Masalas etc.

Admission included60 min

From Mysore, we drive to the historic river island of Srirangapatana. Here we break for a relaxed and sumptuous lunch at this picturesque setting by the gurgling waters of the River Cauvery.

Admission included15 min

Srirangapatna is a river island that has been coveted for millennia due to its strategic location, with the river acting as a natural barrier. The Srirangapatna Fort was established in the 1400s and served as the residence for the ruling class within its fortified precincts. This location gained global attention when the East India Company and the Kingdom of Mysore clashed four times over the span of four decades. Driving through the fort and taking in the sights offers a fascinating glimpse into what it feels like to be inside one of the few 'living' forts in India.

Admission included45 min

Our final stop is the exquisite 1780s wooden palace of Tipu Sultan, where every inch of its interiors has delicate frescoes and murals of evocative battle scenes, floral and geometric patterns and portraits. Our accompanying expert guide will provide context to each handpainted artwork and regale you with stories of the valiant efforts of this ruler, the Tiger of Mysore, against the colonial powers of the time.

Loved the tour, day well spent

A friend of mine recommended this tour. I booked and was very satisfied both the tour and the operator. Praveen took all the stress of planning, moving logistics, finding best time to visit the sites when there were no crowds there off my shoulders. I liked the places we visited and the conversations we had. Highly recommend!

Taste the flavors of India in wonderful day trip.

You should definitely book this trip. If you do, I hope that you find, as I did, that from the long car ride along the countryside to the authentic foods, both at breakfast and at lunch, the palace and market experiences along with the knowledgeable and entertaining anecdotes of the host, that you'll come away from your cultural experience today feeling like you got a good sampling of what India has been and has to offer. The experience is very colorful in both the metaphoric and physical ways. The palace experience is extraordinary and is a feast for the eyes to look upon as are the temples. And of course, the flower market gives you a tiny window into the past. The host praveen was very knowledgeable and kind and entertaining about over his different experiences with the guards to India in general and Bangalore specifically.

Praveen was an extremely amazing guide. Love every second of it

I decided to check this trip out for the hell of it, since it was my first time in India and people kept recommending Mysore. So here is my review: - I went with Praveen. He was extremely communicative the entire time. I booked super late (2 days before), and was scared he wouldn't see it in time. He messaged me immediately and gave me details within 12 hours. - Praveen was EXTREMELY knowledgeable. He knew everything: from history, culture, and a lot about how the world works. His english is extremely good and he would give you good tips on what to avoid and what to not. - Praveen doesnt take you to tourist-trap places. Actually, he even said that he personally doesn't like to have people shop during the trip unless they specifically request it. This is mainly because he doesn't want people to get scammed or overcharged. I did request to buy sweets to take home and also spices. He ended up taking me to his favorite spots. - The places he brings you too are fantastic. Let him take the wheel, and he'll bring you to extremely authentic and delicious tasting foods. Have an open mind. 100% You'll absolutely love this tour!!!

Amazing trip from Bangalore to Mysuru and Keshava Temple

This has to be one if the best trips that we’ve done in India. The route was well planned so it’s least crowded at the places we visited. Praveen knows his stuff and the overall exercise was amazing. The breakfast and lunch were included and delicious. All in all am excellent experience and I’m definitely booking again with Praveen next time I’m in Bangalore in a few months time. Keep up the great work!

Hidden treasures and best kept local secrets.

This is one of the best tours that I’ve had the pleasure to experience. Every aspect of this tour has been meticulously planned to allow you to maximise the day and enjoy Mysore, and the surrounding area. What is particularly great about this tour is that it avoids the usual tourist traps and souvenir shops and takes you to unique local sights and allows you to soak up the culture, from authentic silk markets to hidden riverside restaurants. Praveen is an excellent guide and does everything possible to ensure you get as much as possible from the tour. He’s knowledgeable, insightful and offers excellent customer service. Nothing is too much trouble for him and his passion for providing an excellent experience for his guests was evident. From the stunning Mysore Palace to the hustle bustle of the market with its array of colours and scents, each part of the tour left a lasting memory. I cannot praise this tour, and Praveen enough and would highly recommend.
