Not as extensive or clear experience. Having to go to pier 4 to have the voucher changed to tickets was not a value added feature. The seats on the bus were worn and not very comfortable.

We would like to clarify that we currently recommend boarding at Pier 4 (Landungsbrücken) because construction works, demonstrations, events, and other temporary disruptions can occasionally affect some stops along the route. Starting at the main departure point helps us ensure that guests can board smoothly and receive assistance from our staff if needed. We would also like to note that exchanging a voucher for a ticket is simply an internal procedure and can be done at any stop where our staff is present; it is not restricted to Pier 4. Regarding the seats, we appreciate your comments. Our vehicles are regularly inspected and maintained, but we will review your feedback with our operations team to ensure that the comfort and condition of our buses continue to meet our standards. We hopped on and never hopped off. Great narrative with headphone translation well timed to the things we were seeing and other great info to fill the gaps between sights.

Would not recommend if you do not know German. The driver was also confused by the voucher and did not know what to do. Would not recommend this tour

As several Hop-on Hop-off companies operate in Hamburg, some confusion regarding the correct bus or operator can occasionally happen. From the same departure stop used by our buses, other companies also operate at different times with yellow-red buses that are not connected to our service. It was ok. Didn’t appreciate driver. He almost hit a pedestrian and twice almost rear ended another car. Too many bathroom stops. Didn’t like that he did a doughnut in a traffic circle. Almost fell out of my seat twice turns were so sharp

At the same time, some elements of your description do not seem to match our service. Our buses do not include bathroom stops during the tour. The only extended stop takes place at the starting and ending point, where the bus remains for approximately 20 minutes and facilities are available. All other stops are part of the official route only. In addition, our buses are yellow and orange. They should not be confused with buses that are yellow and red, completely red, or completely yellow. We would also like to stress that our drivers are required to follow strict safety standards at all times. The type of driving behavior you described would be taken very seriously and would lead to immediate action. For these reasons, it is possible that your experience was with a different bus operator. The directions to the pick up spots were not listed anywhere on the site or on the web and there was no “4” listed on the landing bridges. Look for the yellow and orange bus was all we had to work with. The German audio on the bus and the driver’s stories are louder than the plug in audio, but it is understandable. It was a good way to get around Hamburg on a rainy day, but this means damp seats, a wet floor and fogged up windows (the driver came around to clear them as best as possible). The timings for pick ups throughout the city were a little tricky ao you need to think of it as approximately an hour between drop off and pick ups. The site says the last tour ends at 2:52, but we saw the buses around the city later in the evening.

The starting point is located at the Landungsbrücken, in front of the entrance to Brücke 4 (you can see the inscription Brücke 4 on the wall above the arched entrance). We’re sorry if the driver’s live commentary was too loud. We’ll pass this feedback on to the operator to improve the passenger experience. Regarding the fogged windows, unfortunately this is a natural reaction on rainy days: the humidity brought in by passengers coming from outside can cause the windows to mist up, especially during the 20-minute break at the starting point. This usually clears up about 10 minutes after departure once the heating is on. Lastly, please note that the time you mentioned is not the end of the tour, but the last departure time during the winter season. We really love the sightseeing tour buses. You learn so much through the recored messages and really see the City and architecture. Recommend for those who cannot do extensive walking.
