The urban park is frequently billed as a "cooling oasis in the concrete jungle" of downtown. Its focal points are three pools of water and a terraced knoll, which helps to shield the park from the rest of the City. The quiet, blue meditation pool is encircled with cypress trees and towering walls that are covered in thin plane of water that cascades almost 90 degrees down to the sunken blue water feature. The sound of the water on the walls evokes thoughts of a gentle rain shower. The aerating pool features multiple illuminated spray fountains under a canopy of large oak trees. The main attraction of the Water Gardens is the active pool, which has water cascading 38 feet (11 m) down terraces and steps into a small pool at the bottom. The active pool experience was built for people to be able to walk down the terraced steps to be surrounded by and experience the power, sounds and motion of water crashing around them. The Tarrant County Courthouse was designed by the architecture firm of Frederick C. Gunn and Louis Curtiss and built by the Probst Construction Company of Chicago, 1893–1895. It is a pink Texas granite building in Renaissance Revival style, closely resembling the Texas State Capitol with the exception of the clock tower. The cost was $408,840 and citizens considered it such a public extravagance that a new County Commissioners' Court was elected in 1894. A monument dedicated to Confederate Army soldiers was erected on the grounds by the United Daughters of the Confederacy in 1953. 1958, a Civil Courts Building was constructed on the west side of the courthouse. In 2012, a $4.5 million renovation to the clock tower was completed,In 2013, the Civil Courts Building was demolished. The Tarrant County Courthouse currently houses the Tarrant County clerk's office, probate and county courts at law, a law library, and the Tarrant County facilities management department.

ISSAC was nice and knowledgeable. WE ENJOYED THE TOUR
We took in both tours. Easy parking near pickup points. We had William for the Dallas tour and Isaac for the Ft. Worth tour. Both excellent. Very knowledgeable and presented information with clarity. William was a hoot. Funny, informative and just a joy to be our guide. Isaac was an exceptional young man who is very knowledgeable and thorough. Please of time at the Stock Yard in Ft Worth. Both guides were great. Highly recommend.
William was amazing. Very knowledgeable with a great sense of humor. The city tour was very informational and the stock yards were neat to see and it was like going back in time, which we really liked.
Thank you so much for your wonderful review! We're delighted to hear that William made your experience so enjoyable. His knowledge, enthusiasm, and great sense of humor are what make him such a favorite with our guests. We're also happy you enjoyed exploring the Fort Worth Stockyards. The Stockyards truly offer a unique glimpse into Texas history, and we're glad you felt like you were stepping back in time. We sincerely appreciate your kind words and hope to welcome you back on another Fun Texas Tours adventure soon!
Great overview punctuated by the stockyards and the walking of the longhorns. Want to go back for the museums and walking around downtown
Loved this trip. John, our guide, was welcoming and had lots of information to pass on to us. We learnt a lot and saw some wonderful sights and areas. Fort Worth was brilliant and we loved it there. We would have liked a little longer at Fort Worth but thats just a minor negative and didnt ruin our trip.
Any bus driver could have done as much as our tour guide Tim did. He offered minimal input or history on any of the highlights in Fort Worth. He dropped us off at the stockyards and told us he’d be back in an hour and a half. I was more than happy to bail on his tour and join a nearby walking tour
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We want to clarify that the structure of this tour is clearly outlined in the itinerary provided at the time of booking. The Stockyards stop is designated as free exploration time for guests to experience the area at their own pace, while the Fort Worth city drive is the guided portion of the tour where narration and historical context are provided along the route. We encourage guests to review the itinerary details prior to booking so expectations are clear regarding how each part of the tour is structured.
5 stars,Tim was a awesome guide
We had a great time with our driver and guide John, so much to see and do in Fort Worth, if we are ever back this way, I’d be heading to Fort Worth to stay for a while, loved the great big horned cattle, and cowboys re-enactment of the cattle drives
Was a great tour, the guide was clear and kind, was easy follow her, she give us time to enjoy and eat, arrive in time to all places where need go and take great pictures, I will recommend Anna for your next tour
It was a good time and felt I received a good overview of Ft Worth. Tim was a great tour guide and gave us a lot of facts and history along the way. He did a great job getting around all the traffic and people from the art festival that were there.
