- For driving licenses issued from France, Switzerland, Taiwan, Germany, Monaco, and Belgium, you need a JAPANESE TRANSLATION of your local license. You can obtain the physical copy from JAF office (Japan Automobile Federation).
- 1968 Vienna Convention, IDA, IAA, and any other permits acquired online are NOT RECOGNIZED by Japan.
- Driving permits from Indonesia, Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, Mexico, Brazil, Costa Rica, Colombia, Kuwait, Qatar, and some countries are NOT ALLOWED to drive in Japan, please check if your country issues the 1949 Geneva Convention Permits.
- Please obtain your permits before leaving your country.

Amazing experience with TENTO
Had a great time with akira, even with the rain great hospitality n experience.
This was THE BEST FUN in Tokyo. Costumes were great, very clear explanation about the safety, and it was fun and not stressful with our wonderful guide Julien. The cars are easy to operate and even though it was peak hour traffic on Friday we felt comfortable the whole time. We saw other tours that were not as organized or safe as this one with Monkey Cart - Julien and his driver were the leaders and because he was on a raised bike we could see him much better than if he was also in a kart. Also it meant he could take HUNDREDS of photos (all of which he shared with us - no extra charge) so we could just relax and enjoy. And yes, you drive right through Shibuya crossing and it is AWESOME. 5 stars.

Amazing experience! Rakesh was the most down-to-earth yet professional guide! If you’re hesitating about this experience, don’t worry! I had my worries about driving in a different country, but safety is number one and the guides will always take care of you, especially during the drive. We switched from a 6 pm evening slot to an early afternoon slot due to weather/scheduling, so it was just my partner and I, and we had a blast with what became our own private tour with Rakesh exploring beautiful Shibuya! He took amazing photos and was patient and entertaining. Thanks so much Monkey Adventure Kart for a memory of a lifetime on our first trip to Japan! ^_^
