Pheobe was our guide. She was really nice. She was informative, helpful, understanding, accommodating with fluent english. Excellent communication. It was really nice to have a private tour guide, it helped us spend as much time where we wanted. Really do whatever we wanted, that was great. Our driver was great as well. Quick. Had a nice car, drove well in traffic.
Michael and the driver were amazing. He was so patient and good with our 4 year old. He gave us lots of tips and shared with us a lot of history.
Had a meeting to attend in Hurghada and thought ( since I had to fly in from Cairo anyway ) that I'd take a day and soak in the sights of the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx and visit the famed Museum of Egyptian Antiquities. Booking and confirmation was done and received promptly online - along with clear instructions. Now, I wasn't sure if by 'private', I'd be expected to share the day with other tourists ( since I'd encountered tours on previous trips to other countries where 'private' meant being in a small group' ) but I was thrilled to learn that I would indeed have the services of the guide and driver all to myself for the entire 8-hour duration. My guide ( Fatima ) and driver ( Ibrahim ) were the perfect company - they turned up on time ( actually early ) and had the most effervescent personalities to cheer up my morning. Fatima is truly a gem - she's articulate, funny, extremely knowledgeable and ( as a bonus ) super proficient at helping me take photos. I travel alone most of the time alone and since I do not subscribe to nor have the photo-taking skills of a 'social media influencer', I don't often end up with many nice picture memories of myself - just a whole lot of shaky selfies and photos of what I saw and where I've been. However, Fatima assisted ( more like directed haha ) with many photo opportunities whilst on the tour and gee, she's really good at it. She knew all the right spots, angles, etc and for once, I can truly enjoy the tours and experience the sights without having to worry about taking pictures of myself. The sights were indeed breathtaking - the Pyramids were awe-inspiring and the tour of the Museum most educational. There wasn't a whole lot to see at the Bazaar though ( perhaps it's the time of the day ) but since I wasn't big on shopping for curios and souvenirs, that suited me perfectly fine. There will of course be attempts made to have you drop by at 1 - 2 shops to 'experience local products' but a polite decline from my end was all it took for me to side-step that process. The day started with me thinking " Gee, 8 hours is a long time to spend touring" but both Fatima and Ibrahim made it felt like a breeze and at the end of the day, I felt I've made two new friends and had a productive and wonderful day spent in Cairo.
Our excellent guide Shah - she of the snappy camera angles - gave us a great day out going round all the key sights. She was knowledgeable, flexible and spoke great English, All in all recommended.
Excellent guide Zenab and driver Hosn provided an organized and smooth day. I recommend them 100%. The transport was modern and spotless. You get a lot done on this tour and it is all worthwhile. We especially loved the camel ride and taking photos at the pyramids, but the mummies and treasures at the museum are also something I will never forget.
We spent a great day with Ashraf and Emad. It was fun and well organized. The most thing that I enjoyed is how comfortable and welcome we all felt. It felt like a trip with family :) they really took good care of us and it was a real fun!!!! Would Def recommend this tour with Ashraf and Emad. Big well done. Lots of love from Malta
We could not have hoped for a better day! We went to Egypt especially to See the pyramids so it was a really important part of our trip & Ashraf made it such a wonderful experience. He was funny, spoke amazing English, regularly asked if we were enjoying our day & taught us all the amazing history without it feeling like a history lesson. He was also fantastic in taking lots of photos for us so we could remember the day forever. THANK YOU for the best day of our trip. Will recommend you friends!
I had limited time in Cairo, so needed a tour which went to all the main places and this tour fit the bill. Pros: 1. great tour guide, Mohamed Gouda. He has a wealth of knowledge and a real passion for his work. He took tons of pictures for me and was very personable. 2. The exhibits themselves were fascinating 3. Nice, clean car for transportation for the day. Cons: extra costs. At an already pretty steep price point, you are still responsible for the entrance fees and lunch. All in all, it was a great day and I would recommend to others.
An incredible experience with history, on a tour just for us, in our language and with the conveniences of transportation and food (light) included.
We had such a fulfilling day in Giza and Cairo! We unfortunately only had one day to see everything, but Ashraf from Tree of Life Tours helped us see everything we wanted to do! The best part was that everything was included (minus tipping your guide & driver). We started with the pyramids, and then took a 20 min camel ride near the pyramids! From there we saw the Sphinx (although we wish we had spent a little more time there). After we went to a souvenir shop and found some gifts including the Egyptian name necklaces. We then headed to the Papyrus shop where they showed us how papyrus is made. In both places, however, they do expect you to buy something so if you don’t want anything, I would request to skip these stops. We went to a restaurant for lunch and had a nice grilled chicken meal. From there we went to the Egyptian Museum and saw many interesting artifacts like King Tut’s golden head covering and treasure. Finally, we went to the bazaar and were able to find a few more souvenirs for cheap. Our guide walked us to the main street, but we were on our own as far as the haggling. One tip he said was to only pay 50% of the first price mentioned. This was a good place to start for the bartering. All in all it was great to see so much of Cairo in a short window and not have to figure everything out on your own.
