This was the most expensive excursion we booked and was the least tour like. We paid $275. The bus drove us to a beach about 40-45 minutes and we had an hour of free time. There was an optional (extra $$) boat ride which we had already paid so much I was disappointed that they wanted to charge more, so we sat in the cafe for an hour doing nothing. Then the bus drove us around about the same amount of time to the old city where we could get a 20 minute tour or just have another hour+ of free time. So we ate at a cafe and chilled. The tour guide did give a little information while on the bus but I’m not sure I learned too much. Then the bus took us back to the port. It was so hot on the bus I almost threw up. Even my little fan wasn’t cutting it. Basically I could have gotten a $20 bus to old town from the port (of which there was a good offering) and saved my money. I would not go on this “best tour” again.
We regret to hear that our tour did not meet your expectations. Let me address the concerns raised: 1. The optional boat ride is clearly listed among the exclusions. 2. Usually, when guests from all over the world come to one of the most beautiful beaches in Greece, even if they prefer saving EUR 15 on the boat cave trip, they still find more interesting activities than “doing nothing” at a café. Well, tastes differ. 😉 3. If you did not want to swim or take the boat trip, it remains unclear why you booked this tour, when you could have simply booked a Corfu Town tour or explored it on your own, since you were primarily interested in food and beverages. Some travelling choices remain puzzling, even after my 28 years spent in this field... Anyway, when booking with Viator in the future, I strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour itinerary, description, and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions.
Stepping onto the boat to explore the deep sea caves brought those stories to life for them in a way that no textbook or movie could. The logistics were wonderfully managed, with plenty of shade on the boat and we'll timed stops for traditional local ice cream to keep the youngsters from being overwhelmed. It was an uplifting, instructive, and stress free family event.
Mary was a wonderful guide but the trip was just ok. Not one of my favorite. Low key. Trip out to swimming area afforded little to see and do for me. Back in town was fine if going from one small shop to another is your thing
Thank you for your feedback, but it remains unclear what exactly caused your disappointment — our wonderful guide Mary or the full itinerary being delivered as promised. When booking future activities, we highly recommend basing your expectations on the description and inclusions rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels.
Elena was a superb tour guide. He is bar none one of the most passionate people about the history of the island. He is kind, humorous, and an overall delightful person. He made the experience well with the investment. We will be using your services in the future again. Thank you
We had a difficult time finding the tour. The tour guide was friendly, helpful, and professional. We had to pay extra for the boat part, but it was amazing.
Very boring, I would not recommend this excursion. The only good part was the boat ride and I found out that pricing wasn't included. Had to pay more.
We regret to hear that one of the most beautiful islands in Greece looked boring to you. Well, tastes differ, and love and beauty are always in the eye of the beholder. The boat ride is an optional activity, clearly listed among the exclusions. Safe travels.
Seamless, just the right amount of time, excellent communication, and accommodations. Mahi, our guide, was first rate. Knowledgeable, kind, easy to follow and enjoyable. We cannot recommend her and the tour enough.
Many tours either provide too much structure or too little guidance, but this one found a good balance. The boat trip was enjoyable and offered fantastic scenery. It also gave everyone a chance to relax and take in the surroundings. Once in Corfu Old Town, there was enough free time to explore according to personal interests. I enjoyed visiting small shops, observing local life, and discovering quiet side streets away from the busier areas. The tour provided a great introduction to Corfu and left me wanting to return in the future.
Short and a good view of the city. Guide was lovely
The tour guide was very informative, polite, and timely. The bus ride to the beach had a lot of beautiful views and was very comfortable. The view at the beach was absolutely stunning; however, we found out at the beach that the “Best Corfu Tour with Boat Trip” actually meant optional boat trip and if you take it than it is 15 euros per person. My family was not the only group that was surprised by this additional charge and multiple other groups had to scramble to the ATM to get money as the boat trip was cash only, also not listed anywhere in the overview. It was a great 4 hours of exploring Corfu, but we were very disappointed in paying over 130 euro per person, and then having to pay even more when arriving.
Thank you for your kind words about our guide, the island, and the views. Regarding the boat ride, please kindly pay closer attention to the following sections of the tour description: 1. Itinerary — Paleokastritsa Beach “This unforgettable adventure, available for just €15, is paid on the spot.” 2. Exclusions = “Boat trip 15 eur (optional activity), subject to weather conditions and seasonal availability.” 3. Additional Info = “Please note that the boat trip, costing EUR 15 and payable on the spot, is an optional activity and is subject to weather conditions and seasonal availability.” Please do not refer to other participants unless you officially represent them. Please also note that your negative feedback is the only one received from the entire group. When booking future activities through Viator, we strongly recommend basing your expectations on the tour description, inclusions, and itinerary, rather than on personal assumptions. Safe travels.
