Itinerary
A perfect way to discover the hidden secrets of Belgrade fortress and it's long and vivid history is to explore it's underground. First of them is Roman well, built in 18th century, which represents heritage from Austrian time. Many mysteries are connected to this place, and interesting fact is that it was Alfred Hitchcock's favorite spot in Belgrade. The tour continues to Army bunker - from the time of the Cold War after the World War 2, where you will learn about some of the President Tito's political games between great countries. The third stop is Gunpowder warehouse - where you will have the chance to touch the walls of the cave which Austrians built as the part of the fortress which served as the defense of Christian Europe against Turkish Empire. This warehouse is also an exhibition place where you will see sarcophaguses and altars collected from different archeological sites on Serbian territory. The tour ends with glass of local wine on the Sava river bank.

The tour was fantastic. Interesting, well paced, awesome guide. Visitors should know that the whole tour is not underground as I'd assumed bu both the title and description You are mostly above ground, going under to see three sites.
Our tour guide, Novi, was outstanding, and he provided a rich and engaging introduction to key moments in Belgrade’s history, the sparkling wine at the end was delightful.
We had a wonderful and insightful guide (Novi), incredibly genial with a great sense of humour in conveying the context of Serbia and its history.
Darko was a great guide and was very informative and friendly. The sites were interesting and the wine was nice
The tour is not for anyone who cannot climb many stairs comfortably. There is a lot of historical information.
The name of the tour doesn’t justify. The experience is much beyond the underground tours. It’s about the history of Serbia, the fortress, etc. The guide was very passionate and gave us plenty of time and information to learn. The walk around the fortress was nice and you wouldn’t need a separate fortress tour. Wine at the end of the tour was at a nice bar at the river promenade, not a mediocre wine experience. Given all these, the tour is considered incredibly cheap.
Nice tour with very good English speaking guide, extra plus for the drink afterwards!
Took my wife and family to show them real old Belgrade, very nice option for less than 2 hours, perfect for city history
The company organized few days in and outbof Belgrade as teambuilding for our international clients, and everything went perfect and smooth. Good idea for Belgrade intro for beginners.
Great tour, very engaging and informative throughout, with excellent stories and pacing. I’d definitely recommend Darko to anyone visiting.
