My experience with Predrag's tour through central belgrade

Our guide: Predrag gave us a tour through the city centre of the town and the fortress that was in close proximity. In addition to pointing out what we should look at, he would give us a historical explanation of what we we looking at and why its there now. When I came to Belgrade I knew nothing of its history besides the fact that is was indeed both not only the capital of modern day Serbia but also yugoslavia. He taught me and the other guests a lot at his guide, it was quite the comprehensive (although simplified) history of the city. He focused mostly on the 19th and 20th century Belgrade, but also spoke a little bit about its history before that as well. He also showed and advised us to go to what he dubbed: "Belgrade's best café", and I have to agree with him on that. I quite enjoyed this guide and found it to be more than worth my money!

Operator response

Thank you for this genuinely detailed review! Coming to Belgrade with fresh eyes and leaving with a real grasp of its 19th and 20th century arc -that's exactly the shift this tour aims for. The fortress, the city centre, the connective thread of why things stand where they do - it sounds like it all came together beautifully. And we're glad the local café tip was a welcome bonus! Reviews like yours, that engage with the substance of what we do, mean a lot. We'd be delighted to have you back for more of Serbia's story! 🚲

Lovely bike ride through the city

This was a very good trip. Our guide Andrija was super cool, friendly, warm and knowledgeable. He made sure all of us were ok throughout and gave us good historical information about Serbia. There was also a nice stop for coffee and water before we continued. They have e bikes which was a revelation for me as they help you go up hills so it didn’t require any effort! Definitely recommend :)

Operator response

Thank you so much for this wonderful review! We're thrilled you enjoyed the trip and that Andrija made your experience so special — he truly is warm, knowledgeable, and always looking after the group. We're so glad the e-bikes were a pleasant surprise too; those hills are no match for them! It was a pleasure having you, and we hope to welcome you back on another adventure soon. Happy travels! 🚲

E-bike tour with great guide

Great equipment and great guide Philippe. He was very knowledgeable about Belgrade and current affairs. e-bikes are very helpful because Belgrade is very hilly. Be aware that there are almost no bike lanes in Belgrade so that this trip is somewhat challenging. Belgrade is a wonderful city and very vibrant.

Operator response

Thank you for the great review! We're delighted you enjoyed the ride and that Philippe shared his knowledge of Belgrade and its current affairs — he loves connecting the city's history to what's happening today. You're absolutely right that Belgrade is hilly and short on bike lanes, so the e-bikes really do make all the difference. We appreciate you noting it for future riders. So glad you found the city as vibrant and wonderful as we do — thank you for exploring it with us, and we hope to see you again! 🚲

Excellent tour

Excellent tour on very good bikes. Our guide Philippe, a French-speaking journalist, explained Serbian history, geography, and politics to us with great detail and passion. He was able to answer all our questions. The tour is very well organized, the bikes are of very good quality, and the welcome from the shop owner is particularly warm. We are very satisfied and highly recommend this visit to both couples and families. No particular difficulties, either in driving or in traffic, as Philippe takes great care of his guests throughout the journey.

Operator response

E-bike tours cover greater distances

I had a little trouble finding the starting point, which is across the street from Republic Square: arrive early. The use of e-bikes allowed the tour to cover a number of sites that were far apart, all the way from the Kalemegdan Fortress to Saint Sava. If done on foot, the whole tour would be spent walking, with no time for explanations. We saw the RTS headquarters and General Staff Building A. The guide Vojin spoke English very well and was very knowledgeable about the sites that we visited. Highly recommended for bicyclists with some urban riding experience.

A wonderful introduction to Belgrade

Our guide was excellent, and provided wonderful insights into the country, history and people of Serbia. We did an earlier walking tour with another organizer and learned a lot more from this tour.

If you’re in Belgrade & you can ride a bike, do take this tour

The best tour I’ve ever done! Being the only person for the tour that day meant having 1-1 conversations with Ivan, which made sure my interest was held for the entire time (which was more like 4 hours). If he hadn’t been so knowledgeable & engaging, the 1-1 could have been painful, but I think I was extremely lucky! The history of whole Balkan area is full of riveting drama, often but not always bloodthirsty. I now have a better understanding of Serbian & Eastern European history. I especially liked Ivan’s pride in dropping into his talk all the innovations that Serbians have come up with over the years, not all of them Nicola Tesla’s! The bike was perfect, coping effortlessly with the few hilly bits. The one flaw - there always has to be one! - is that it took me 1/2 hour & a call to the tour operator to find the meeting point. However, all was redeemed by the fact I got an immediate answer & clear information.

Operator response

Thank you for the awesome review! We're thrilled you loved the Belgrade E Bike Tour with Ivan, our knowledgeable guide, whose captivating storytelling brought Serbian culture to life. It’s great to hear the private ride through Belgrade sightseeing highlights was such a memorable cultural experience. We’re sorry for the meeting point mix-up but glad it was quickly sorted. Come back for another unforgettable ride!

If you want to see more of Belgrade with great local guides, this is the tour to book!

I joined the tour of Belgrade with my friend. I have been in Belgrade before, my friend was for the first time and to be honest. I was pleasantly surprised on the set up of the tour, places we have visited, level of the knowledge of our local guide and most important - bikes are in great condition and very easy to ride. We stopped for a few times on the way, where our local guide, gave us a brief explanation of the sites and we were also to take photos. Our highlight was definitely a coffee stop in Zemun. Thank you Slobica for showing us around and taking a good care of us!

Operator response

Thank you for the wonderful review! We are really happy to show the different side of Belgrade, and we are glad that you enjoyed our brand new e-bikes and Slobica's explanations about our city :)
