Great surf spots Our three surf spots in Arrifana, Amoreira and Monte Clerigo in Portugal offer the best conditions for surfing in the Algarve at every level. Amazing instructors Our experienced and certified instructors with an ISA or FPS license will coach you and ensure you a great time on the water. Surf Theory At the beginning of the surf course, you will get to know the characteristics of the waves, currents and tides. Your surf instructor will also tell you the basics about the surf equipment. Modern equipment Our surf school is equipped with easy-to-use soft boards, which ensure the necessary safety on the water. The long and comfortable neoprene suits from Ocean and Earth offer you the best possible freedom of movement and keep you warm in the water for a while.

This was our first surfing lesson, both for us and our children, and we truly cannot say enough positive things about this experience. We were a little nervous at first, but all of that disappeared as soon as we arrived and met our instructors. They took the time to thoroughly explain everything and made sure we felt comfortable and confident before getting in the water. There was plenty of practice on the beach, going over the techniques and movements, which made a huge difference. Since we were surfing with our children, ages 11, 13, and 15, we had two instructors for all five of us. They were incredibly patient and attentive, taking extra time with our kids to ensure they felt supported and had fun. It was very much appreciated. The water was cold, but the wetsuits they provided were perfect and kept us comfortable. The beach they recommended had ideal waves for beginners and could not have been a better setting for our first surfing experience. We would highly recommend this surf school to anyone—especially families looking to try surfing for the first time. It was one of the highlights of our trip and created memories we will never forget!

I’m really glad I found Algarve Watersport in Lagos! Highly recommended if you want to learn how to surf. The instructors Noemi — Surf Instructor and Bjorn and are professional, patient, and very supportive, which makes the whole experience fun and easy even for beginners. I have been to the Algarve Water Sports Surf Camp twice now, both times have been an incredible experience. With instruction from the amazing and inspiring surf instructors I have seen my surfing skills improve immensely. With the on-going guidance and feedback of the instructors I have been surprised at the rate of improvement; growing faster than my own expectations. In particular, shout out to Emil, Noemi, Alex, Ansan, Lele, Angel & Jorma for their help! The camp facilities are very well set-up, from the sleeping accommodations to the amazing areas to relax after surfing. The camp staff do an amazing job at creating a warm and welcoming environment. In particular shout to the kitchen staff that prepare incredibly delicious buffet style breakfast and dinners everyday. Finally, I really enjoyed the thoughtful planning of the camp staff with lots of exciting activities before and after surfing including yoga, surf skating, and live music nights just to name a few. The last two weeks I have been at surf camp at the Algarve Water Sports have been some of my best vacations. I’ll certainly be returning for another week of fun and surfing!
Angel and his team were absolutely great. 5 days of approximately 1 1/2 - 2 hour sessions per day. Angel really took his time to explain surfing. It was a great experience which I am thrilled to have been part of.
It is absolutely amazing. We loved everything about it and will definitely come back. The bar is super cool. The teachers are really nice and the food is stunning. Milan is super cool too.
