Itinerary
Start the tour in the heart of the city in Plaza Catalunya and enjoy a walking tour through the oldest part of the city, the charming Gothic Quarter, a maze of quaint, narrow streets full of Roman and medieval architecture. You will visit the Cathedral, Jewish Quarter, St. James Square and part of the Roman wall. The walking tour ends with a visit to Santa Maria del Mar church in the Born district.
Detailed explanation of exterior and facade.
After crossing the Jewish Quarter, we stop at Saint James Square where the City Hall of Barcelona is located and the Palau de la Generalitat.
The last portion of the walking tour, we visit the Basilica of Santa Maria del Mar - exterior explanation.
Stop for coffee break, or free time to enjoy this beautiful part of the city.
After the walking tour you will head over, in a comfortable transport, to Montjuic, site of the 1929 International Exposition and the 1992 Olympic Games, and you will see one of the best viewpoints to see the city.
As we make our way toward Montjuïc, we’ll have the chance to admire a truly amazing sight from the vehicle: The Face of Barcelona. Rising dramatically in the distance at the port, this enormous sculpture captures immediate attention. Formed from a cascade of letters and symbols that seem to float in the air, each letter is uniquely placed, merging to create the silhouette of a colossal human face, giving the impression that the city itself is gazing toward the future.
Once we pass The Face of Barcelona, we’ll approach another of the city’s iconic landmarks: The Columbus Monument. From the vehicle, we’ll see its towering 60-meter column rising majestically above the port area. At its peak, the statue of Christopher Columbus stands tall, pointing toward the sea, as if inviting travelers to explore new horizons and reminding us of Barcelona’s historical significance as a starting point for great voyages of discovery.
Once we pass the Columbus Monument, we’ll head up Montjuïc toward one of the most stunning viewpoints in Barcelona: The Miramar Viewpoint. As we ascend, we’ll stop to fully appreciate the breathtaking beauty of the city. From this vantage point, we’ll have the perfect opportunity to capture stunning photographs of Barcelona’s skyline, the all set against the backdrop of the surrounding hills.
After visiting Miramar Viewpoint, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc, where we’ll catch sight of another of Barcelona’s cultural gems: The Miró Foundation. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the striking architecture of this renowned art museum, perched on the hillside overlooking the city.
Once we pass the Miró Foundation, we’ll continue our journey up Montjuïc and soon come across the Olympic Stadium. From the vehicle, we’ll be able to appreciate the grandeur of this historic stadium, which hosted the 1992 Summer Olympics. The iconic structure, with its impressive façade and surrounding area, stands as a testament to Barcelona’s Olympic legacy. On certain days, the stadium is open to the public, and if we’re lucky, we may even get a glimpse of the interior. Visitors can explore the stadium and its surroundings, but perhaps most intriguing of all is the Olympic Museum, located nearby. This museum offers fascinating exhibits on the history of the Olympic Games, showcasing the spirit of competition and the athletic achievements that defined the 1992 Barcelona Games.
Once we pass the Olympic Stadium, our journey will take us to the Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya (MNAC), an iconic building that stands majestically on the Montjuïc hill
After seeing MNAC we will pass by the famous Casa Batlló, one of Antoni Gaudí's most iconic works, located on Passeig de Gràcia. This masterpiece of Catalan modernism is known for its undulating, colorful façade, evoking natural shapes like bones and dragon scales. Although we won’t stop, we’ll have the opportunity to admire it from our private transport, allowing us to appreciate its stunning architecture in all its glory as we continue our tour of the city.

Excellent english, could hear her speak, able to answer all questions, caring and careful with our safety, playful and Luz driver is very good also! Fabulous first experience alone in foreign country! Deborah
It was cancelled less than 24h before start. Very disappointing as all the entrances were purchased with this tour. Cancellation meant that we could no longer enter to differebt sites eg Sagrada Familia
It is striking that a negative review has been left for an experience that, as you yourself indicate, never took place. The tour was cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances, and the full amount paid was refunded immediately and in full in accordance with our terms. As a result, no service was provided that could be properly evaluated. We understand that a cancellation can cause inconvenience in planning, but comments of this type do not assess the quality of a service, only a situation that has already been resolved, which may mislead other users.
This was an awesome experience with Xavi! We loved how he explained all the history. Sagrada La Familia is stunning! Make sure to wear comfortable shoes. This would be a challenging walking tour for those who are not active. Would recommend!

Xavier was one of the best guides we have had anywhere in the world. Passionate extremely knowledgeable and a by the end of the tour he felt like family. The two day tour was well organised and efficient, but was not rushed. There was always enough time for any questions and the answers were detailed and comprehensive. Lunch on the second day was a highlight with Xavi ordering and showing us the way tapas should be eaten! Great wine choice as well! We feel that we leave Barcelona with a well balanced knowledge and feel for the great city that it is. Thank you Xavi! 10/10!!!!

We’re also glad you enjoyed the tapas experience—there’s no better way to immerse yourself in the local culture! We hope to welcome you back for another adventure soon. Safe travels!
I did this tour 5 years ago with my husband and learned so much from our tour guide. I returned to Barcelona and chose to repeat the tour with my son. Both tours were excellent although there was a little variation. Our tour guide, Montse, was outstanding. She accompanied us (with another couple) the entire day with a smile on her face. This was a very thorough introduction to Barcelona and it's main sites.
If you want to fit it all in this is your trip! Miguel is the absolute best! He is informative, fun and engaging! My husband and I enjoyed our time with him
