Itinerary
Meet your local English‑speaking guide at the Gran Teatre del Liceu and step straight into the Gothic Quarter’s timeless backstreets.
You’ll explore the heart of Barcelona’s Old Town, wandering through narrow medieval streets, hidden corners, and atmospheric squares that still retain their centuries‑old character. This is where the evening begins, setting the tone for an authentic tapas adventure.
Your first stop is an iconic, old‑school bar known for serving the famous “bomba”, a classic Barceloneta‑style tapa. Pair it with a refreshing local beer as your guide introduces the origins of this beloved dish and the bar’s local heritage.
The walk continues into the historic Jewish Quarter, one of the oldest sections of the city. Its labyrinth of narrow alleys preserves the charm of medieval Barcelona and leads to some of the best hidden eateries. Tucked away in a charming side street, we will have our next bite in traditional bodega features an impressive cellar. Here you’ll taste: Homemade croquettes, patatas bravas, padrón peppers, sausage in cider sauce, and more bread with tomato. Drink options include house vermouth or cava, both local favorites.
On your way to the last venue, you may pass by the iconic Cathedral of Barcelona or stumble upon a giant piece of public art by Picasso, depending on the route—adding an unexpected artistic highlight to the evening. Before your final drink stop, your guide surprises the group with a local sweet specialty, a perfect palate cleanser and a nod to Barcelona’s dessert culture.
Your final destination is a classic vermouth cellar, a beloved local institution. Here you’ll enjoy a glass of vermouth or a local pincho—a must‑taste in Barcelona’s food culture.

Wonderful experience. Tour guide (Lili) was friendly and knowledgeable
we had a great experience with our tour guide Lili!!
Fantastic experience , great food and drinks
Lili our tour guide provided a great experience of the tapas culture of the Gothic quarter. It was well organised. We tasted many different dishes we wouldn't have known to try
Lily was a great guide through the gothic quarter. Pointing out interesting places and facts on our walks between places. It was great to try tapas at bars that have been owned by families for 5 generations. Each location had great atmosphere and delicious food and drinks. Catering to people wanting alcohol and also non alcoholic. Would definitely recommend that you try. This was our last night in Barcelona if you can do it earlier so you can go back and try other tapas that would give you locations to try on the other nights.
We have had a fantastic time! Lilli is an amazing guide and we learnt so much and tasted dishes and visited places we would never have found without Lilli. Thank you so much for an amazing tour! Highly recommended
