Itinerary
As part of your Candbike bike and boat journey, you’ll ride through Talad Phlu, one of Bangkok’s most authentic and flavorful neighborhoods. Known for its rich Chinese-Thai heritage and legendary street food, this area offers a vibrant window into everyday local life. What You’ll See and Do: • Cycle Through a Historic District: Pedal past rows of shophouses, local shrines, and colorful street murals in one of Bangkok’s oldest neighborhoods. • Experience the Local Rhythm: Watch vendors prepping dumplings, locals sipping tea, and monks collecting alms — a real slice of Bangkok life without the tourist crowds. • Learn the Cultural Roots: Your guide will share stories about Talad Phlu’s Chinese-Thai roots, why the area thrived near the canals, and how it remains a proud local community. Talad Phlu is not just a pass-through — it’s a living, breathing neighborhood that lets you experience Bangkok’s history and flavor from the saddle of your bike.
Stop Highlight: Wat Khun Chan At Wat Khun Chan, travelers will step into one of Bangkok’s most visually striking and lesser-known temple complexes. Located along the quiet canals of Thonburi, this temple is a vivid contrast to the polished tourist spots—it’s raw, local, and full of character. What You’ll See & Do: • Admire the towering seated Buddha statue, surrounded by colorful figures from Thai mythology, including giants and celestial beings • Learn from your guide about the symbolism behind the temple’s statues, and its role in the local community. • Capture unforgettable photos with a backdrop of ornate sculptures, golden stupas, and vibrant wall art. • See how religion blends with everyday life in Bangkok, as monks and locals go about their day in a working temple. This stop gives travelers an authentic taste of spiritual Bangkok—unpolished, meaningful, and full of local charm.
Longtail Boat Canal Cruise – Discover Bangkok’s Hidden Waterways (Klongs) After exploring the city by bike, you’ll hop aboard a private traditional longtail boat and glide through the serene klongs of Thonburi — the original heart of Bangkok. This peaceful cruise offers a striking contrast to the city’s busy streets and reveals a side of Bangkok most visitors never see. What You’ll See and Do: • Cruise the Historic Klongs: Float past old wooden houses on stilts, spirit shrines, neighborhood temples, and lush green gardens lining the canal banks. • Witness Everyday Canal Life: See locals watering plants, feeding fish, or relaxing on porches — a glimpse into the slow rhythm of waterside living. • Feel the Breeze and Quiet: The gentle movement of the boat and cool breeze offer a moment to relax and enjoy a quieter, greener Bangkok. This longtail boat cruise is more than transportation — it’s a journey back in time and a peaceful, eye-opening highlight of your Bangkok experience.
Wat Nakprok – A Serene Temple Blending Thai and Chinese Spiritual Traditions During your Candbike bike and boat adventure, you’ll bike passed at Wat Nakprok, a lesser-known temple with rich cultural significance and stunning architectural detail. Nestled near the canals of Thonburi, this tranquil spot offers a deeper connection to Bangkok’s diverse religious heritage. What You’ll See and Do: • Admire the Architecture: Wat Nakprok features a rare blend of Thai and Chinese temple styles, with beautifully carved rooftops, golden details, and ornate guardian statues welcoming you at the gate.
Wutthakat – A Hidden Urban Oasis Between Old and New Bangkok As part of your Candbike adventure, you’ll ride through Wutthakat, a quiet and often-overlooked neighborhood that offers a fascinating mix of local charm, greenery, and Bangkok’s evolving cityscape. It’s a peaceful detour off the tourist path — perfect for slow exploration by bicycle. What You’ll See and Do: • Cycle Along Peaceful Backroads: Ride through leafy lanes, small canals, and friendly local streets where everyday life unfolds at a relaxed pace. • Interact with the Community: Smile at locals walking their dogs, kids riding bikes, or elders relaxing outside their homes — the neighborhood vibe is friendly and genuine. Wutthakat isn’t about famous landmarks — it’s about authentic atmosphere, real neighborhoods, and seeing how Bangkok’s people live outside the spotlight. It’s a simple but rich part of your journey.

Excellent choice to get to know a typical Bangkok neighborhood with local people. We appreciate cycling to feel some air. Both the boat and bike tour have delighted my partner and me. Guitar explained everything very well and is very friendly.
¡Muchas gracias! La combinación de bici y barca es una de nuestras favoritas para descubrir Bangkok desde otro ángulo. Guitar es fantástica — nos alegra que tanto a ti como a tu pareja os haya encantado. ¡Hasta pronto! 🙏
The tour is super interesting because you see places and corners that are probably not otherwise on the itinerary. We booked another tour with this organizer last year. Our guide was nice, attentive and provided us with many photos. Bicycles are in good condition. Along the way, various snacks, drinks and lunches were included. On the canal trip we were away from the main canals and had them almost to ourselves.
Vielen Dank! Es freut uns sehr, dass ihr uns schon zum zweiten Mal besucht habt — das ist das größte Kompliment, das wir bekommen können. Schön, dass ihr wieder neue Orte und Ecken entdeckt habt! 🙏
This is an immersive, cultural experience like no other. Our guide, Guitar, was very knowledgeable and friendly. She lead us through the lesser known parts of Bangkok with rich history and character. We spent time on the canals where the old town was first established. We were then taken to a quiet, hidden gem for lunch and refreshments. An awesome experience and a definite must to add to your Bangkok activities list
Thank you! The bike and boat combination really does unlock a different side of Bangkok — Guitar's local knowledge makes every stop on the canals feel special. So glad you enjoyed it! 🙏
Had a wonderful day with our friendly and knowledgeable guide Guitar. It was just our family who had booked, so it was extra luxurious to have a guide just for the four of us. Cycled through little backstreets, stopped at temples and for a delicious and abundant lunch, and the boat trip was also really fun as we got to see a different side to the city, going out past floating houses and away from the tourists to a banana plantation. Also spotted lots of big monitor lizards. People were overwhelmingly friendly. Nice bikes to ride too. We booked directly via the website.
Thank you! A private family tour with Guitar is a wonderful way to explore at your own pace. Backstreets, temples, and a great lunch — the full experience. Glad you had such a luxurious day! 🙏
My family loved seeing more of Bangkok and learning the history of the Riverside area. The bikes were great and our guide was friendly and helpful. Seeing the monitor lizards and feeding the fish were a highlight!
Thank you! The monitor lizards and the fish feeding — those moments always get people! Really glad the family enjoyed the history and the riverside experience on the boat. 🙏
Would highly recommend this bike tour Great for all ages. No hills ,flat all the way. The boat ride was awesome to. Get to see the old part of Bangkok. We went to the floating market for lunch afterwards. The food was amazing!
Thank you Denise! Flat all the way, great for all ages, and a boat ride on top — really glad it ticked all the boxes. Highly recommend right back! 🙏
Excellent tour guide. A fantastic way to see local life in Bangkok. Absolutely loved this tour. We would recommend it to anybody. Tommy is an absolute gem of a guide. You’re lucky you found this one.
Thank you! Tommy is indeed a gem — passionate about Bangkok and the river life in equal measure. Really glad you loved the tour and would recommend it. You're lucky you found us too! 🙏
Prayut is a great guy and a great guide. By far the best bike experience I've had in Bangkok so far. I really liked the route we took that allowed us to see many different faces of Bangkok.
An excellent tour around the back streets of Bangkok. Had various stops off at points of interest and markets and had an introduction into local cuisine. The best thing we did while Bangkok and guide was great. The bikes are new and felt safe along the whole journey using 98% of local alleys. A great afternoon seeing the “real” Bangkok
Wow, thank you! That's exactly what we aim for — a tour that hits backstreet gems, local markets, and genuine Thai food all in one ride. So thrilled it was the best thing you did in Bangkok — that means everything to us. Hope to have you back one day! 🚲
Great boat trip and bike ride through the local areas of Bangkok. Real insight into actual life in the city. Stopped for local snacks on the way which were also lovely. All round great day.
Thank you! Combining the bike ride with a longtail boat gives you such a unique view of Bangkok — both on land and on the water. And the local snacks are always a highlight! So glad you had a great day. Hope to ride and sail with you again! 🚲
