The driver was very entertaining. While the trip was rather long, time was well filled and went by fast. All the stops were unique and very interesting.
Rightbout the gate I knew this was going to be a terrible experience. The guy pulled up in a run down van and started insulting the folks standing at the pickup spot. It was more insulting and rude from there. There is no world where im sitting in an uncomfortable van for hours (11hr trip) with this guy. When i found out that the shops are closed on sundays it was the last straw. I decided to get out of the van and just forfeit my money. Think about that, I paid so that i didnt have to deal with this guy. I would gave loved to see these sights, but I guess ill just use the internet instead.
First of all the customer is stating that our tour guide pulled up in a run down van. We do not provide any run down vans for our sightseeing tours. Besides that the van has very comfortable seats and large windows which is very suitable for long distance sightseeing tours. Further more this passenger is saying that our tour guide started insulting the folks Standing at the pick up spot. Which folks does this passenger mean? It was only him and two other people who booked this tour. And what did the tour guide even say that was so rude or insulting. The passenger does not mention this at all. We talked to our tour guide and he told us the following: The passenger asked our tour guide if this rainy weather will continue throughout the day. Our tour guide of course does not know if there will be rainy weather all day but he informed the passenger that we will of course walk through the city centres of Baden-Baden and Strasbourg and through the Black Forest. Please take note on the day of the tour it was raining which is beyond our influence. But all of our tours operate rain or shine. In Germany we never have any stable weather, even in summer time. Besides that everybody has the chance to look into the weather forecast before they join a tour. The passenger finally took a seat in our tour vehicle. But afterwards he changed his mind again and said that he would rather go shopping. As this tour was operating on a Sunday our tour guide informed him that shops are closed on Sunday. The passenger asked why today and our tour guide told him that shops are always closed on sundays in Germany which is absolutely correct. Please take note we are not able to change the weather nor are we able to open the shops on a Sunday. To blame us for the weather situation or the opening times of shops is somehow really ridiculous. In the end he did not join the tour but this was his own decision.
Punctual, excellent care and especially from the guide William. We had the best time. Thank you very much.
Excellent experience. Our guide William was very knowledgeable and shared a lot about the places we visited and Germany in general. Given what the plan was, it was done very well. Personally, I wished I had 3 days in each place to really take it in. Having said that, I would call it a good scouting trip that leaves you waning more
You see a lot of very interesting things, but unfortunately there’s just not enough time to deep dive into all three visits
Better than expected during the offseason. Went on a Sunday morning with my son and 1 other visitor. The driver stopped on the way for bathroom and snacks. Spent about an hour and a half walking through Strasbourg and Petite France. Then headed into the Black Forest for a stop and then to Baden Baden for another walk through the town. Great experience and highly recommend.
These are amazing stops, but they deserve more unsupervised time to enjoy them at your own pace. Would recommend cutting out a stop to give Travellers more time. Our guide insisted we take the tiny train ride around Strausbourg rather than give us time in the Christmas markets. We made a completely unneeded stop at a gas station on the way out. Our stop in the Black Forest offered great views but could have been much shorter, because our night stop in Baden Baden was just a speed run of their Christmas Market.
Willy was a great guide. While it was quick stops in each spot, he was very informative on the history of the areas. Any questions were answered with details. He also made sure we were all able to find our ways home after our tour finished.
Peter was our driver and guide for the day. He safely got us to all our stops and made suggestions for meal. He also assisted with purchase of cuckoo clock. He was super informative and very pleasant. Highly recommend.
Willy was an amazing tour guide, he knew all the ins and outs of where to go and what to see. Extremely helpful and worth the trip! He stayed with us and showed us the best of the sites.
