Explore Wat Mahathat, a temple steeped in history and significance. Renowned as one of Ayutthaya's oldest and most important temples, Wat Mahathat housed the sacred relic of Buddha. A captivating highlight awaits as you encounter the temple's iconic image – a sandstone Buddha head intricately entwined with the roots of a tree, a scene often captured in mesmerizing photographs.
Visit Wat Lokayasutharam, this temple has another name called Wat Pra Norn. Inside the temple, there is the biggest reclining Buddha in Ayuttaya. This temple was mentioned in the history as one of King Barommakote's travelling route. The reclining Buddha is a big white Buddha with the length of 42 meters and height of 8 meters.
Continue visit to Wat Phra Srisanphet, the holiest temple that once graced the grounds of the old royal palace in Ayutthaya. Renowned as the grandest and most beautiful temple in the city, its main attractions include three imposing Ceylonese-style stupas.
Conclude this remarkable day at Wat Chai Wattanaram, a cherished historical gem in Ayutthaya. Commissioned in 1630 A.D. by King Prasat Thong to honor his mother, the temple boasts an architectural style influenced by the Angkor temples in Cambodia.
