Wat Maheyong, a Buddhist monastery situated just outside the eastern end of the ancient city of Ayutthaya, stands in a state of ruins despite undergoing multiple restoration efforts throughout its history. Initially built in the 15th century, it likely functioned as a meditation center, and the discernible red brick walls can still be seen from a distance. Recognized as a national historical site by Thailand's "Fine Arts Department," the monastery's ordination hall (ubosot) remains a venue for religious ceremonies, with active participation from Buddhist monks, particularly during significant periods.

Wat Dusittharam is a serene monastery located on the west bank of Khlong Ayodhya. The name "Dusittharam" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Tush," conveying a sense of contentment and fulfillment of desires. The monastery spans a significant area, divided into an old and a new section. The old segment features a substantial chedi, a vihara, and an ordination hall (ubosot), embodying the traditional charm of the temple.
