We booked this tour expecting a ±6-hour experience including to the track, museum, and statue. Instead, we arrived to find everything closed. We could not walk the track, visit the museum, or see the statue up close—essentially the core of what was advertised. Our total time away from the hotel was approximately than 3 hours (confirmed in writing by the hotel and submitted to Viator), which is far from what was sold. This alone shows the tour was not delivered as promised. We also have a WhatsApp voice note (submitted to Viator) from our guide confirming that the track was closed and that we could not experience the full tour. After our complaint was submitted to Viator and Moi Tours he further mentioned that Moi Tours would not be compensating him for his services, which raises serious ethical concerns. Moi Tours has also confirmed via Viator they will not be refunding us. The guide himself was friendly and did his best under the circumstances, but this does not make up for the lack of transparency and poor planning from Moi Tours. This situation should have been communicated in advance, and the tour should not have been sold in the first place. To make matters worse, we checked other providers like Get Your Guide, and they clearly indicate that the first available date for this experience is only from 1 May. This suggests Moi Tours knowingly sold a tour that could not be fulfilled. We have escalated the matter for the second time with Viator without any success. Overall, this was a complete waste of time and money. I would strongly caution others before booking with Moi Tours.
