Description

The tour I'm offering is an enchanting stroll through the historic heart of the city. We'll discover must-see sites, including the extraordinary Palais des Papes, the ancient Roman forum now known as the Place de l'Horloge, and the famous Pont Bénezet, which spans the Rhône. But you'll also discover a more intimate and welcoming Avignon, with its squares, alleyways, churches, the synagogue, and private mansions off the beaten track. I'll tell you about the history of the City of the Popes, from its origins to the present day. I'll also share many anecdotes that will familiarize you with this city. Looking for a good coffee, a quality restaurant, a trusted merchant? I'll be there to share the best places to eat. So come with me! Passion and enthusiasm at your service! Book your tour now!

Jérôme was an excellent...

Jérôme was an excellent tour guide, high energy and extremely knowledgeable about the city, the culture and its place in history. Really worthwhile going out with Jérôme and getting a taste of Avignon. His recommendations for places to visit in detail or restaurants and cafes to try and the nooks and crannies to explore, are all worthwhile.

This tour was perfect for us!

Jerome is an excellent guide, so knowledgeable and fun. He also made great accommodations for my friend who needed to sit at many of the stops because of a chronic illness. He made a great lunch recommendation for us and we loved this tour. We’d recommend it to anyone! Thank you Jerome!
