Great way to see Oia while avoiding the most crowded routes. The app worked really well and the audio guide was informative.
The tour led is off the beaten path which we wouldn't have explored on our own (the area is a maze!) It also led us to the windmills, the 3 blue domes, the castle, and the famous overlook that everyone flocks too for the sunset. The narrator is a British woman with Greek roots and her grandma is one of the few permanent residents remaining in Oia. Her directions on where to turn were very easy to follow. Recommend to go in the morning to beat the crowds, and not during the sunset. You do have to download the VoiceMap app but it worked flawlessly and the GPS would pick up where we were at and auto-play the next track, or tell us when we got off track.
The app worked seamlessly, we learned a lot about local history, and got to see some amazing sights that weren’t too crowded. Would recommend if you’re a do it yourself kind of explorer that wants some history/info without being in a big group or with a difficult to hear guide
This was a good value for the price. We enjoyed hearing the history - long ago, and more recent - of Oia, and seeing sites we would have missed in our short time there. We got through a third or more of the tour before abandoning our walk in the crush of tourists seeking sunset. Tip: start this tour WELL BEFORE SUNSET to have any hope of completing it. The sunset crowds are insane.
