Claude provided a great journey through the battlefields of the Somme. He is very knowledgeable and has a deep understanding and respect for the history. We enjoyed every aspect of the day.
Thank you, Barbara and Hugh, for the nice comment. I am glad you both enjoyed the day.
Not only was Claude’s knowledge the World War 1 aspects of the Somme exceptional, but he was also able to talk about the Second World War in the area, and indeed the border military situation for the whole area. As well as having a keen interest in this, he also bought a personality and breadth of conversation that made the day; solemn, informative, interesting and yet still light hearted enough to make the day totally enjoyable. He was incredibly professional and understanding. We were bald we chose him.
Hi John, thank you very much for the nice comment. Claude
Claude is extremely knowledgeable and took us to some great places. We really enjoyed our day. Highly recommended.
Thank you Maree for the nice review. Claude
Claude was prompt in picking us up from our hotel in Lille and then took us to see the final resting places of two of our family members, who were both killed in 1918. He was very flexible and worked in with our plans to visit these two graves at two different war cemeteries. He then took us around numerous battlefield sites and war cemeteries, involving New Zealanders, and his knowledge was first class. For that special day in connecting with those special soldiers, contact Claude and he will make it happen.
Thank you very for this nice comment, I am happy you enjoyed the day. Claude
Claude met us at our hotel on time and took us to the Monash Memorial We proceeded to see various War cemeteries around the Somme valley. The tour was first rate and Claude's knowledge was impressive. Week worth the cost.
Hello Charles, I am glad you enjoyed the trip and thank you for the nice comment. Claude

Exceptional tour of the Memorial in France. The guide gave us a fantastic overview of WWI conditions, battles and history

Claude was a very competent and knowledgeable guide. The day's history lesson was conducted in a lovely air conditioned vehicle which was handy as it was a little hot and humid. We had a relative that we had hoped to see mentioned on a memorial and Claude ensured that this was accomplished. My voucher said that we had to pay for lunch but Claude was a very kind host and gave us lunch. The lunch could have been delayed as the tea rooms were crowded so he ordered the food and took us off to see a mine crater so that we didn't lose any time from the day. Because one of the museums was unexpectedly closed, he took us to another cemetery in Arras and then took us through the Citadel. These last were not part of the normal tour but he made sure we had a fabulous day

Excellent tour to the Somme. Claude picked us up from our hotel in Lille and spent 8 hours with us showing us the Australian battlefields and monuments on the Western Front. He was very knowledgeable on the history of the war and answered all our questions. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone who wants an insight into the war fought by Australians.

We would highly recommend, Claude our guide was exceptional and very knowledgeable and always willing to go the extra mile
