Visit KL Auschwitz 1. Walk through the iron gate bearing the notorious slogan Arbeit Macht Frei. See 22 brick barracks, which were prison for hundreds of thousands of victims of the Holocaust. The most chilling is block number 11, the so-called prison within the prison. Block 11 contained special torture chambers including dark chambers or standing cells where various punishments were inflicted on prisoners. The first attempts to kill people with Zyklon B took place in this block. The only preserved crematorium and gas chamber is located at the end of the camp. After the visit to KL Auschwitz 1, travel in the minivan to KL Auschwitz 2 Birkenau. This part of the camp is 25 times larger than Auschwitz 1 and it was the largest of the death camps. Over 1,100,000 people were murdered here. End your visit at the Memorial and pay respect to all of the victims of Nazi's genocide.

Everything worked super, got a little worried when I got a Whatsapp message from Royal tours a few days before departure from Sweden with a question about which hotel we stayed at. I then looked at reviews of Royal tours and found only bad except 2 pcs. However, they contacted us the day before the tour and moved the time from 9:30 to 11:30 (this was already stated when booking so we were prepared). We were 2 and the rest of the bus were big parties so I suspect they moved us to the same time the bigger parties booked. We got to tell what kind of lunch we wanted meat / veg and we got a pin to the pickup location. The driver was there 15 minutes early. He was with us all day. We met up with a guide and translator at the entrance who was with us all day in both museums. They were very knowledgeable and we got a lot of information that you could not read. My tip, don't be afraid to book with Royal Tours because of reviews. Mikael and Peter took very good care of us👍
Do not trust the morning departure times listed by this operator. They engage in a deceptive practice of selling "ghost tickets" for standard morning slots that they do not actually own. Once you are locked in, they send a last-minute notification changing your pickup time to a pre-dawn hour (around 5AM) to force you into a physical standby queue at the museum gates. This is a highly stressful, dishonest way to run a tour. We refused to participate in this scam, which left us deeply disappointed and without a way to visit the memorial today. While GetYourGuide safely refunded our money immediately, the emotional disappointment remains. Protect your holiday plans: book your entry time slot directly on the official Auschwitz-Birkenau website and use the local train (only 18 PLN) to get there. Avoid this agency at all costs.

Run away!! They cancelled our tickets 48 hours before we left! This makes it impossible to get reimbursement for the plane and accommodation. Their little masquerade cost us 2000 € Run away!! They cancelled our tickets 48 hours before our departure! As a result, it was impossible to get a refund for the flights and accommodation. Their little scam cost us €2,000.
The entire experience went off without a hitch. I would highly recommend this company for this tour.
Guide was very knowledgeable and gave good level of detail. However, it was not great that there was no consideration for those who were not quick walkers - signal from head set lost if got to far behind. Needs some further work on access for those with a disability to aid everyone being able to appreciate the majority of the historical site.
You are not a reliable place. I order a visit and the local operator changed the time and the place of meeting less than 24 hours before the trip, yet your company had ZERO accountability and blamed the operator.
A very interesting visit but the guide could have made more comments. His French was very good. Unfortunately the schedule of the visit changed the day before, 12:40 instead of 10am so we wasted time. Lots of traffic so 2 hours to get there.
