Itinerary
Whole event takes around 7 hours. You will be picked up directly from your accommodation place in between 07:30am and 10:00am(pick up time will be confirmed). Meeting will took place either at the front-desk of a hotel or outside near an entry to apartments. Just after collecting all participants you will reach Auschwitz in about 1 hour 15 minutes.
English guided tour in Auschwitz and Birkenau Museum is provided by a licensed museum guide . (Headphones are included) Visiting the camps takes around 3,5 hours and consists of sightseeing of two Nazi camps & Auschwitz and Birkenau.
After a short break of up to 15 minutes following the first camp visit, we will take you to the second part of the tour – Birkenau (Auschwitz II), located just a few minutes away. This was the largest section of the Nazi concentration and extermination complex, created with the intention of carrying out the mass extermination of European Jews. Your guide will continue the moving tour through Brzezinka (Birkenau), built in 1941 under the orders of Heinrich Himmler, commander of the SS. The camp was designed to imprison up to 90,000 people under horrific and inhumane conditions. During the visit, you will learn about the tragic stories of prisoners, brutal selections upon arrival, and inhuman medical experiments conducted by Nazi doctors, including Josef Mengele. The tour also covers the liberation of Auschwitz by soldiers of the 60th Army of the First Ukrainian Front on January 27, 1945 – a moment that marked the end of unimaginable suffering for the remaining prisoners.
After tour you will be taken back to Krakow. Either to your accommodation place or any other destination within the city.

- For all bookings for Auschwitz-Birkenau tour, we need surname and name of every participant (the same as in their ID or PASSPORT). If we will not get it, we will not be able to buy entrance tickets to Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum. Without it, you will not be able to enter the museum.
- Please make sure to bring with you to the Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum, ID or PASSPORT, because the guards will ask about it before enter. Without it, you will not be able to enter the museum.
- Please provide the full legal name of each participant at the time of booking (exactly as shown on their passport or ID). • Nicknames or shortened names are not accepted. • A valid passport or national ID card is mandatory for every participant. • All documents will be checked before entry. • Failure to present a valid ID will result in denied entry.

The tour operator kept us in the loop with text messages and WhatsApps, including pick up times, ordering a packed lunch, needing photo id etc. We were collected on time about 10’ walk from our hotel and then went around to collect the other guests. The drive to Aushwitz was easy and the driver (owner of the company) briefed us in detail just before we arrived. On arrival, we use the facilities and then we met the guide and went through security, collected our headsets and started the tour. The guide spoke very good English and explained the key points of the camp including the routines, and the way of life and death. She was appropriately solemn and encouraged the proper behaviour from those on the tour. After finishing at Auschwitz, we were driven to Birkenau where we met up again with the guide. This time we were given umbrellas by the tour operator as the majority of the Birkenau visit was in the open air in baking sun (temperatures around 35C). Again, the guide showed us the main points of the camp, including the railhead where the arriving Jews were split into workers (who would probably survive a few weeks, if they were lucky) and those destined immediately for the gas chambers. All very sobering but compelling at the same time. The return trip was equally easy as the outward one and we were dropped off at the pick up point. The cost was reasonable given the two one hour journeys plus the time the driver had to wait around, and the packed lunch was reasonable value too. Two very minor gripes. We had to walk to the pick up point only for the driver to go right past our hotel. It was a very hot day and the air con in the mpv struggled a bit.

This trip was so professionally run from pick up and transport to site through to the empathy shown by the guide to the memory of the previous occupants of the camps. The headsets provided meant that everyone could clearly here every word of the guide without having to huddle in close groups

A lot of walking a lot of climbing stairs a lot of crowd was very hot very long. They cut is short because of the heat.
