Your tour will start with a pickup from the meeting point you select. Please notice, due to Museum's limitations exact time of pickup might be changed. Auschwitz-Birkenau Museum is located in Oświęcim, about 65 km from Kraków. The drive to the museum will take approximately 1 hour and 20 minutes. During the journey, your guide or driver will explain the itinerary step by step and answer any questions you may have. Before the tour begins, there will be a 15-minute break for restroom use.
The first part of your tour takes you to Auschwitz I, the original main concentration camp. Here, you will learn in detail about the establishment and early history of the camp, as well as various significant events that occurred at this site. This location also houses the main section of the exhibition, providing a comprehensive insight into the camp’s history and its impact.
After a brief 15-minute pause, the group proceeded to Auschwitz II - Birkenau, which constitutes the second segment of the tour. This section provides a clearer understanding of the vastness and magnitude of the events that took place there. The atmosphere during this part of the tour is more reflective and thoughtful.
After completing all the sightseeing, you will have some unhurried time to visit the bookstore or relax in the café. Following this break, the driver will take you back to Kraków, returning you to your original pickup location.

Booked with Touristico a few weeks before travel - communication was outstanding. On the day our driver Jan messaged promptly with arrival time and the details of our vehicle. Thoughtfully air conditioned, the drive to the museum was easy. Jan made the journey easy and guided us through the ticket and entry process. He introduced us to our guide and the experience was carefully managed in such harrowing circumstances- He helped us navigate rest room breaks and cafe facilities. Very good tour, highly recommended. The driver Matteusz (Matty) knew what he was doing, very smooth drive, as well as the guide was very knowledgable and provided lots of information as well as answered any questions we had. I also took the lunch and was expecting only a sandwitch and juice but there were also some fruits and a nice snack bar, that was a nice suprise!
