Great experience. Family friendly activity, our 17, 16, 8 and 7 years olds loved it. Amazing guides with a lot of knowledge. Highly recommend.
So happy to know the whole family - even the young ones - enjoyed kiwi spotting with SNM, thanks
Amazing tour and our guide, Maria was very knowledgeable and passionate about her job! She was also very helpful getting my mother down to places to see the glow worms better!
Thanks for your lovely review on our Glowworm tour in Auckland. Maria will be pleased to know her efforts in helping your mother had a positive effect
It was cool to see the flow worms and to learn abt them as I never had heard of the before. The guide was great. She was informative and was kind .
Great to hear you discovered something completely new; that’s exactly what makes this experience so special. Glowworms tend to surprise people with how unique they are. We’re glad the guiding stood out too; knowledgeable and genuinely welcoming is what we aim for every time. Appreciate you joining SNM.
A fun adventure in the middle of Auckland. Caleb was very knowledgeable and patient with everyone. My son and I enjoyed the waterfall and the adventure to it.
Thank you, Keri. We’re delighted you and your son enjoyed the adventure and discovering such a special pocket of nature right in the heart of Auckland. Caleb will be pleased to hear your kind words. The waterfall and glowworms really do make it feel magical. We hope to welcome you both back again soon
My wife and I did the tour at 10 pm. The guide, Millie, was just awesome. She was knowledgeable about the area and the glow worms. It was very relaxed and informative. We saw plenty of glow worms in their natural state with was cool. If you are in Auckland and do not want to drive hours to see the glow worm caves, I highly recommend this tour.
Thank you so much for joining our 10pm tour and for taking the time to share this. We’re thrilled you both had such a relaxed and informative evening with Millie — we’ll be sure to pass on your kind words to her. It’s always special showing guests that you don’t need to drive hours to experience glowworms in their natural habitat. So glad you saw plenty and enjoyed it together. Hope to welcome you back sometime!
The Auckland glowworm tour was wonderful! I didn’t know what to expect, but I was very surprised that you could see so many glowworms right in the heart of downtown Auckland. I was also presently surprised when we were given information on New Zealand’s rich history, and provided headlamps as we explored the trail at night. I’d recommend this to anyone visiting that wants a sweet introduction to New Zealand’s culture and beautiful nature.
Thank you for such a thoughtful review! We love seeing guests’ reactions when they realise glowworms are hiding in plain sight right in central Auckland — it really is one of the city’s best-kept secrets. It’s great to hear the storytelling, cultural insights, and headlamp night walk added to the experience for you. Creating a gentle, authentic first connection with New Zealand’s nature and history is exactly what we aim for. We truly appreciate the recommendation
Caleb was our guide for the night and he did a great job informing us of all the glowworms, facts and their life cycle. He kept us safe in the dark and kept a good momentum of talking and walking. I think we counted over 200 then we lost count of how many glowworms we saw.
Thanks so much for the awesome review Daniel, we really appreciate it! We’re stoked you enjoyed our little inner-city glowworm adventure, and that Caleb could bring the glowworms’ life cycle to life while keeping things safe and flowing smoothly in the dark. Over 200 glowworms is a very solid night; once you hit that point it becomes impossible to count. Hope we get to take you out again sometime soon!
Very modest, but lovely. You get to see a few colonies of glow worms along the banks of a stream. Great guides, good interpretation. I got tired of all the flashlights and walked off in order to be able to experience the glowworms without all the artificial lights. If you have a red head lamp, do bring it.
Thanks so much for the lovely review, and we’re glad the “Social, Nature, Movement” vibe came through Awesome to hear you enjoyed the glowworm colonies and our guiding/interpretation. And you’re absolutely right: glowworms are best experienced with minimal light. Hope we can host you again for another nature night adventure!
A great experience with a very knowledgeable guide. We say tons of glow worms and you could get right up to them. Fee was reasonable. A great experience
Thank you so much for taking the time to share your review, Fred, we really appreciate it. We’re delighted to hear you enjoyed the Glow Worm Extravaganza and that the experience lived up to its name. Getting up close to see so many glow worms, paired with a knowledgeable guide who can bring the environment to life, is exactly what we aim to deliver. It’s also great to hear you felt the experience offered strong value, we work hard to make these encounters both high-quality and accessible. Thanks again for joining us, and we’d love to welcome you back for another nature-based adventure in the future.
