Delicious and informative introduction to some really cool, off-the-beaten-path restaurants in Auckland. Our guide, Laura, was super friendly and informative and flexible to accommodate our dietary preferences. We loved one of the restaurants so much (Vivace) that we went back for dinner a few days later! Super tour!
thank you so much!! We love Vivace too. Especially that wickedly gorgeous little bar next door
We spent an extraordinarily interesting and very culinarily delightful rainy afternoon with Kath. We travel a lot and always do a food tour both to learn about local culinary practices and to see different parts of the city we are visiting. Usually we do the tour on our first day in a city, but given travel planning, that did not happen, and we toured on our last evening. It did not matter. Kath asked us what we had seen, where we had been, and what we wanted to know, and she curated the tour. She was absolutely terrific. HIGHLY recommend.
how brilliant - thank you!
JK was an outstanding guide of this delicious and thorough tour. We had a great time sampling the dishes of Auckland and learning more about the history of the food and region. 10/10 recommend!
Thank you so much!
JK was a thorough, delightful and knowledgeable tour guide. The food and stories were well worth the price of the tour. We would recommend this to anyone who wishes to get a taste of New Zealand.
He is brilliant - thanks for your feedback
An amazing afternoon of fab food, city insights and history. Our guide JK provided an insight to Auckland food scene, sharing his vast knowledge and insight with the small group. The local restaurants and eateries were friendly and welcoming. My teenager was amazed how quickly the time went! My only regret, not enough days in the holiday to go back and explore all the recommendations and revisit all the favs from the tour.
thank you so much!
Laura was a great ambassador for Auckland! Excellent guide, small group and some stunning NZ produce at really cool places! Highly recommended!
thanks so much Steve!
Laura was very knowledgeable about the food scene, took us to excellent restaurants specializing in a wide range of food (Szechuan pork dumplings, oysters and mussels, Indian cuisine, NZ cheeses, and locally made gelato), and conducted a well-paced tour. She was fun to be with and knew a lot about the city and its history and architecture and was willing to answer any questions we had about NZ.
love this - thank you!
We had a wonderful time with JK. He was so knowledgeable in the history of NZ, which me and my family enjoyed. The food was absolutely delicious, and he gave great recommendations for restaurants to check out during the rest of our stay. We highly recommend this tour. Maybe do it the first day, that way you have a list on where to eat and sites to check out.
thank you so much and that is EXACTLY what we recommend! do it on the first day :)
Kath was a great guide. She mixed just the right amount of local history with the foods we sampled. The portions were just right. We really got a sense of the various cultures that have contributed to local cuisine.
Thanks so much Alicia.
We absolutely love embarking on food tours when we visit new places. It’s an excellent way to savor delicious cuisine and gain valuable recommendations. Our tour guide was incredibly informative, sharing fascinating insights into Auckland’s history. They also provided us with fantastic suggestions for restaurants and activities within the city.
Fabulous! Thank you so much
