It is the oldest town in Auckland, where you can see heritage houses and heritage buildings. We will also introduce one of the heritage houses to you.
The North Head Historic Reserve, situated at the entrance of Waitemata Harbour, is one of Auckland’s volcanic mountain. It was transformed into a fortress in the late 1800s to defend against potential Russian invasions. Tunnels and cannons were strategically placed here as a deterrent against foreign aggression. Here you will experience entering the tunnel and come face to face with cannons made with the best technology of the time.

One of Auckland’s treasures, the Auckland Domain Wintergardens, opened in 1913 and has since captured the hearts of many. This garden features a large collection of chrysanthemum and showcases rare and exquisite plants. Enjoy a relaxing time with beautiful flowers and plants in the garden.
The Holy Trinity Cathedral stands as the world’s only architectural example of a Pacific-Gothic cathedral. Its grandeur and beauty captivate the hearts of visitors. Adjacent to it, St. Mary’s is one of the few wooden churches in the world built in the Gothic style. Discover what’s special about Holy Trinity Cathedral. Wow! What a wonderful tour of Auckland. Talia gave us a condensed version of Auckland that every visitor should experience. A great way to see highlights of Auckland and gorgeous panoramas. Our guide Sam contacted us in advance with specific details for pick up. He was prompt, friendly, courteous and very informative, sharing enough fun facts without info overload. We were blessed with beautiful sunny weather so the overlooks were stunning. Having a comfortable van and only six guests was a big plus! Didn’t get to see the cathedral but the rest made up for it. Only tip would be to bring your own water, would have helped on this warm day especially after the hike up Mt Eden. Overall a wonderful half day tour that started and ended right on time.
