Stone Mountain Park in Georgia is a 3,200-acre outdoor destination known for its massive granite mountain, scenic trails, and family attractions. Visitors enjoy hiking the Walk-Up Trail, riding the Summit Skyride, and exploring lakes, shows, and seasonal events.

Indian Island is a small, peaceful island in Stone Mountain Park, located right beside the historic Covered Bridge. Surrounded by calm lake waters, it’s a popular spot for walking, picnicking, photography, and enjoying quiet views of the bridge and surrounding nature.
The Quarry Exhibit Trail at Stone Mountain Park is a short, easy walking path that takes you through historic granite quarry sites with interpretive signs and old stonework. It’s a peaceful, shaded trail that highlights the mountain’s quarrying history and offers great photo spots.
The Stone Mountain Grist Mill is a historic 19th-century mill relocated to Stone Mountain Park in 1965. Set beside a small waterfall and lovely wooded scenery, it’s a popular spot for photos, picnics, and relaxing nature walks near the Covered Bridge and Indian Island.
The Stone Mountain Visitors Center is located near the main entrance of Stone Mountain Park and serves as a helpful starting point for maps, attraction info, park history, and tips for exploring the area.
This an Optional Stop and a great opportunity to hike the very popular Walk-Up Trail to the mountaintop. The Historical & Environmental Education Center features Interesting exhibit and displays the history of Stone Mountain geology & ecology

Be careful! Great experiences on Viator in the past, but not this time. After being charged almost $600 for a private “guided” tour, the company tried to charge an additional $100 per person per this text: Hi Susan Wise, This is regarding your tour tomorrow. The tour you booked requires a minimum number of passengers, and we are still waiting for additional bookings. We will update you on the status by 6 PM. Alternatively, if you're interested, we can offer you a confirmed tour which will cost an additional $100 per person. Please let us know which option works for you. Regards Talha We replied that they already confirmed and charged the credit card. The driver who picked us up the next day in an older personal vehicle, admitted he was a last minute request and had no knowledge of Stone Mountain. He simply was a very expensive chauffeur and although very nice, did not “guide” at all. In addition, the sky ride ticket was included per the tour description, but he had no tickets to give us and did not get out to pay for them when taking us to that stop. When we called Viator this morning, the tour company told the customer service rep that the guide was experienced and the tour was delivered. I would hope that Viator would remove Barbil Tours from their offerings and we should get a refund on the sky ride tickets at a minimum.
