The experience with Vitor was very good, is an experienced and knowledgeable guide of the city. Only the start was not good, because it was marked in front of the Pantheon, I arrived before the time, but nobody showed up, I had to contact via TripAdvisor, and they contacted the guide, and he told me that the meeting point was elsewhere, I had to hurry to get to the meeting point, that was the bad part and the reason not to give five stars. The rest was very good, I would definitely not have known the city so much if I went to walk alone, there is a lot of history there, and it was worth paying for a guide.
Nice weather excellent city. The tour focuses on the most attractive places in Asuncion, and the history behind each building. The way Victor explains everything is truly remarkable, wisely told, sharp knowledge and pure entertainment. Would definetly recommend this and even take it again.
We had an excellent tour with our guide Victor, who patiently and meticulously told us the history of Asuncion. This is a group tour, but ours was only six people, so we were able to talk and participate much more than we would have on a tour with a larger amount of participants. Highly recommended!
Although we had done our research before coming to Paraguay, the world doesn't hear much about its capital, Asuncion, so we thought this tour would be ideal to immerse ourselves in the city's history. Our guide, Victor, was very professional and showed us every corner of the city center. At each stop, he shared important information and insights that we would never have learned without this tour. We truly feel this tour is a must-do in Asuncion.
1. I was the only one there who actually paid. The other 6 people were doing this as a free walking tour (I for some reason didn’t find), so tips only. I ended up paying 2x 2. He did it in English and Spanish simultaneously, switching halfway though a sentence. While impressive, very early on it was asked he please not switch but rather do 1 then the other. We asked repeatedly, he kept on switching. 3. There was really a lot more standing/sitting than walking lol While yea he’s very knowledgeable (and smug), this is a rip off.
Thank you for taking the time to share your detailed feedback. We are truly sorry to hear that your experience in Asunción did not fully meet your expectations. Regarding the bilingual delivery, our guide was trying to accommodate both English and Spanish speaking participants. We appreciate your comment and will remind our guides to handle the language transitions in a smoother way to ensure a more comfortable experience for everyone. We are glad you recognized the guide’s knowledge and thank you for your honest feedback, which helps us continue improving. We hope you still enjoyed discovering Asunción and that we may have the opportunity to welcome you again under better circumstances. Kind regards, Manuel
