The Asiatique Sky is the name of the Ferris wheel of the Asiatique, a Bangkok adventure center on the Chao Phraya River. Admission to the Ferris wheel is not so cheap, but you can drive several laps on it. Overall, a beautiful view of the Bangkok skyline, especially in the evening and in the dark.
I have been on many Observation Wheels on my travels. Whilst this isn't the most impressive compared to others, it is nice to do once and I would recommend going. Asiatique Sky is located in Asiatique The Riverfront, with views of the city and the Chao Phraya River. I went at sunset. I would suggest going at the same time or in the evening. The ride lasts around fifteen minutes. I paid 600 THB for an adult ticket (December, 2025). Your party will have their own capsule. As a solo traveller, I had a capsule to myself.
Asiatique is one of those places that surprises you for good. It is an open-air center attached to the Chao Phraya River. From afar you see its wheel of fortune (Asiatique Sky) that catches the eye almost like a night lighthouse. I also encountered a horror attraction and another over Jurassic Park, but I don’t remember the exact name, but it adds a curious touch to the ride, who imagines encountering anything of Jurassic Park in Bangkok? But the charm of Asiatique does not lie only in those attractions. You can walk through its corridors watching local crafts, food stalls that have everything from typical dishes to ice cream that tastes like glory. And yes, you can stroll calmly, with your chang in hand, stop in front of the river, watch the sunset, listen to music, or dine in a floating restaurant-boat that gives magic to the place. The best thing (for me) was the moment after dark: the lights come on, the place transforms, and on the ferry back to the hotel the view of the illuminated river leaves you speechless. It can be reached by car, but I recommend going by ferry, I assure you that you will enjoy it much more.
