My family and I booked a private cooking lesson and had such a great time! We learned a dish that we are sure to repeat at home. And our hosts were wonderful and the environment was perfect. We would hesitate to take another class!
We had such a fun morning with Masa and Junko learning step by step how to make gyoza and ramen. They were both excellent teachers and so patient with the kids, giving them special attention. The time flew by and the end results were delicious. I cannot recommend this experience highly enough! You will not regret booking this class with this delightful couple as your guides. I can’t wait to book another class the next time we are in Tokyo- it was the highlight of my trip.
While the cooking experience was fun I was a little bothered when they said there was mo room for my 95 year old mother to watch. I could not send her home by herself. All it took was for me to put the seats a liitle closer together and she had room to sit. I wish they would have been a little more accommodating rather than say no room. It was very easy to make room.
This cooking class is located in the older and more historic part of Tokyo, Asakusa. It was a great experience with great instruction and the food was wonderful. Great family activity.
The hosts were amazing and the food was extremely fresh and delicious ! They were very friendly and helped us every step of the way.
This was already our third cooking class with Masa and Junku at their wonderful cooking school in Tokyo. As with the two times before, we enjoyed every minute of our course. During the course, we were perfectly guided and received all the information and recipes afterward. If you have questions after the course, Masa is always reachable by email. We can and want to recommend this cooking school to anyone who is in Tokyo without reservation - and we are already considering which course we will take next time. Thank you very much for the wonderful moments with you at Chagohan.
This was a really lovely cooking class. The instructions were clear, it was fun, and we felt like we learned new things. The food was delicious that we all made! Great hosts.
Guides were great. Very knowledgeable, excellent English, and super supportive. We had gyoza (made filling, assembled using wraps were commercial pre-made) and ramen (noodles ahead of time, we cooked some parts of the ramen, we cooked noodles and assembled ramen). I thought we were going to make the noodles as well, but that is on me not the hosts. Overall delicious and interactive way to have lunch with a twist. Guides also sent photos from event right away, as well as recipes.
Awesome experience in Tokyo. Super friendly and professional hosts, great environment. Possibly the highlight of our Japanese trip so far.
This is the second cooking class we have taken on our current Japan trip and this one is the ONE! We learned so much and had fun at this class. The food was so good. Our friends did the first class with us and not this one and we are so sad they missed this experience. I can not recommend this class enough!
