Itinerary
Cathedral Cove is an iconic 'must-see' site on the Coromandel coast. The best way to explore this breathtaking coastline is by boat. We'll take you close to capture the beauty of this archway upclose from the yacht. We do not go ashore here.
The best place to sail in New Zealand. Kick back on our spacious catamaran and soak up the scenery as we sail by rugged islands, remote coastline, and stunning beaches, including the spectacular Cathedral Cove.
If time allows we anchor at Gemstone Bay for a swim or snorkel in the marine reserve. The reserve is a sanctuary for marine life, as no fishing is allowed here. The swim or snorkel is optional. If you prefer not to swim, simply relax onboard.

A perfect afternoon. Fair winds with plenty of time to enjoy the spectacular coastline, snorkel with schools of snapper, have a go steering and sit back on the bean bags on deck drinking your drink and eating your fruit salad looking up at the wind filled sails of the huge catamaran 👌
Lovely relaxed sailing, but depending on the weather. Almost no wind so only visited 1 bay instead of 3. We could swim which was also lovely and super sweet captain and sailor. Because it was cloudy and so quite cold, lovely blankets came out and that helped a lot against the cold.
It's a no frills experience which makes this experience so good. No hype just good honest Kiwi hospitality at a very reasonable price.
Absolutely brilliant afternoon sail with Hamish and Bridgette. They were both great hosts. Fantastic views, comfortable place to sit and enjoy the beautiful landscape. Got the opportunity to jump in for a swim and snorkel with the snapper, then to Coromandel Cove. Quick beverage and bowl of fruit to finish off a great adventure
Great day out and a lovely group of people. The boat was fabulous and cathedral church be was amazing. Got to swim with red snapper and the beer and fruit was a nice touch.
We were privileged enough to go on an afternoon charter with the crew from boom sailing and it was the highlight of our hens do on the coromandel! We faced some challenging weather and Mat bent over backwards to make it work for us and the girls had an absolute blast! Such an amazing experience and a great way to see some of the coromandel's highlights! If you get an opportunity to go out on the water with these guys you definitely won't regret it!
Unreal experience! It was so worth it! We booked last night minute and so happy we added it to our trip! Such a beautiful boat, lots of room, comfy beanbags and of course great staff! Highly recommend if you love sailing, relaxing, snorkelling and looking at great views!
Relaxing afternoon sailing. Bean bags (and blankets) were were the cherry on top. Mat and Bridget were so friendly and knowledgeable. Absolutely worth the money, you won’t be disappointed.
As it says, chilled out tour, just perfect for peace and quiet, great hosts, I would enquire exactly where to meet as it’s not signposted on the beach
A truly outstanding trip. No music or endless commentary. Just peaceful sailing. Not a very big catamaran which means not too many passengers. Only motors when absolutely necessary. Together with a beer or two on the beanbags (which are genius) makes for an unbeatable afternoon. They only sail in good weather so no need to worry about not having a great trip. Excellent skipper and crew. An absolute must.
