From April 26 to November 30, itineraries include the Fifth Station of Mount Fuji, located halfway up the iconic mountain at 2,305 meters. This spot offers panoramic views, a chance to explore shrines, and a taste of the climbing culture that surrounds Japan’s most famous peak. From December 1 to April 25, the itinerary shifts to Arakurayama Sengen Park, renowned for its striking pagoda and unparalleled views of Mount Fuji framed by cherry blossoms in spring or colorful foliage in autumn. The park is a photographer’s paradise, offering a quintessentially Japanese landscape. Both options promise incredible scenery and a memorable connection to Japan’s natural and cultural heritage.
Travelers visiting Oshino Hakkai will explore a serene village surrounded by the beauty of Mount Fuji, featuring eight crystal-clear spring water ponds fed by the mountain's snowmelt. They can stroll along charming paths, admire traditional thatched-roof houses, and enjoy reflections of Fuji in the tranquil waters. Visitors can also taste local delicacies, shop for unique souvenirs, and learn about the area's history and culture at the Hannoki Bayashi Shiryokan open-air museum. Spend two hours enjoying a self-guided experience combining shopping and relaxation, with flexible options based on the schedule. Visit the Gotemba Premium Outlets, one of Japan's largest shopping destinations, offering stunning views of Mount Fuji alongside a wide variety of luxury and local brands. After shopping, unwind at a nearby hot spring, where you can rejuvenate while soaking in soothing mineral waters. Bath fees range from 1,700 yen on weekdays to 2,100 yen on weekends and holidays. If visiting on the third Thursday of February, when both the outlet and the hot spring are closed, you'll instead choose between a sightseeing tour of Lake Yamanakako, Japan's largest Fuji Five Lake, or a relaxing hot spring experience at Yamanakako. This flexible itinerary ensures a delightful blend of leisure, shopping, and natural beauty tailored to the season and availability.

If it weren't for the chance of seeing Mt Fuji it would've been 1 star. The entire trip was like running a marathon, everything was so rushed, it was rush, rush, rush, rush. The tour guide, David, told the group at the start that it would be a tight schedule and anyone not back to the bus on time will need to take a taxi to the next stop because it wasn't fair on everyone else (very fair statement), but one family of 6 ppl came back late (ie. 10mins) from every stop point and David didn't do anything except make the rest of us wait then rush us at the next stop. Lunch was also rushed, like we were expected to inhale the food and run. A very poorly guided experience!

It was a decent tour. We hit traffic and therefore the guide shortened all the activities, I didnt like that. I get it, the traffic is out of their control but they shouldnt shorten our time since we paid money for the full experience. Also, they didnt mention the hot springs was all nude, I would have picked a different tour.

The 5 star rating is based on actually being lucky enough to see Mt Fuji in its full glory. Only a small percentage of tourists are able to see it - basically because of weather/cloud cover. We had an amazing view for the entire trip. Our tour guide Leo and bus driver were so excited for us!! Unfortunately, we were doing the tour during a holiday weekend, so traffic to/from was horrible. A 2hr drive (each way) turned into 3hr+ drive. Each stop was about 30mins and the final stop at the Gotemba Outlets was literally 45mins. And if that is not enough time for anything, when you’re shopping and trying to navigate the outlet mall. It’s the biggest luxury outlet mall I’ve ever seen - with 3 levels at different elevations and a needing to cross a bridge to get to each one. Don’t go during a holiday weekend. Also - I wasn’t a big fan of the pond stop, I think that can be taken out of the trip when considering how to maximize time.

This has been a wonderful experience. We had guide Anna Lau, and she was wonderful, funny, and accommodating. She was able to switch from English to Mandarin to even Cantonese. She told great stories and tidbits of history around the Fuji mountain area throughout the bus ride. She even recommended different sweets and fruits to try and planned a lunch for us. Would 10/10 go on a tour with her again.
