Anuradhapura Full day tour with expert English guide

Truly amazing experience :) Everything was so well organized with great customer service! The travel agency was super communicative and in touch with us to make sure everything was organized. We were picked up from Colombo, did not have to worry about any lines or entry tickets which was sooo helpful and easy. Lunch was amazing local food and we had a private driver and tour guide for the entire day. Also for a small additional cost we were able to request to be dropped off in Kandy instead of Colombo after the tour. Our guide spoke perfect English and was very very knowledgeable. I highly recommend this tour if you want to see Anuradhapura with a local perspective and be deeply immersed in the deep Buddhist history of Sri Lanka 😍🙏😍🪷 we cannot say more positive things about this experience- thank you!!!

Anuradhapura a must in Sri Lanka

It can take five hours to reach the old city from Colombo Katunayaka. It can be tiring. The old city tour costing US$ 25 per day per person, requires extensive walking, taking of shoes at Buddhist temples, and being in hot weather. You need at least 5/6 hours to get a feel of this ancient city of 2000 years BC onward. Moonstone, The tree under which Buddha received enlightenment, (branch brought from India), many Stupas made by successive kings, old dwellings, - all cast a magical spell on the traveler. You can find drinks, food in kiosks clusters, as also wash rooms. Stay a night there and relax ; do not rush back ; you'll break yr back!
