Itinerary
Start the day cruising past the northern coast of Samui en route to the Angthong National Marine Park..
Upon arrival at Koh Wao our team will select the best location for snorkelling to ensure a safe and fun experience. After a briefing the guides will join you in the water to provide assistance and lead the way as you explore. We provide personalized service that makes this suitable for all ages and abilities, from experienced snorkelers to non-swimmers. All snorkel equipment is provided, including fins which make navigating the reef much easier! Lifejackets and life rings are available, our guide can also act as your in-water taxi service!
Relax and soak in the view as the boat cruises along the coastlines of the Marine Park. The limestone cliffs have been shaped into many interesting formations which make for great photo opportunities.
A delicious homemade lunch, prepared by our inhouse chef, is served at a tranquil beach. Afterwards time is taken to rest under the shade or cool off in the water. Included is kayaking led by our guides to explore along the coastline of Angthong’s islands, steering your way under rock overhangs and enjoying a restful stop on one of the many idyllic and deserted beaches. This is suitable for everyone as our guides will take care of you, of course if you prefer you may stay on the beach and soak in the nature.
The Emerald Lagoon is the most famous feature of Angthong National Marine Park, a salt water lagoon surrounded by sheer limestone cliffs and jungle. A 10 minute walk leads to the viewing platform revealing the lagoon and a panoramic view of the archipelago. Once again our guides will accompany you bringing refreshments and informing you about the sights and sounds of the island. They also know the best spots for photos and bird spotting.
As the speedboat departs Angthong National Marine Park you are left with the panoramic spectacle of the islands and memories to last a lifetime.
Return to the 100 Degrees East centre on Koh Samui at around 5.30pm with transport ready to take you home for a well deserved happy hour beverage.

We had an unforgettable day at Angthong marine park. Kids literally loved every activity and we managed to have the full experience in such a beautiful place. A special thank to Cara for supporting us during the booking of this special day and to Jason and the whole team for being perfect in every moment. Grazie di tutto e a presto!
I cannot recommend this highly enough from initially booking before arriving in Koh Samui to the day itself. Very professional, beautiful speed boat and really lovely people. My daughter got sea sick on the boat and then suffered with heat exhaustion, she was very well looked after by all the crew who managed to get her back up on her feet and participating in every activity. Even she says she loved the day, despite not being well twice! The team worked hard to avoid the hordes of other tourists making the same trip. As a result, we had most of the islands to ourselves which was magical. The snorkeling was amazing and every 'family group' on the boat had their own guide who were there to point things out or support you if you were feeling nervous or tired. Much better than the other boat trips we saw where people seemed to be left to get on with things themselves. The kayaking was great fun and we saw an island from a completely different perspective. The steps up to the Emerald Lagoon were steep but manageable once you got going. It was certainly worth it when you got to the top. One of the guides carried water bottles for everyone and another took all the phones so that we all had 2 hands free to hold onto the rails. Lunch was very tasty and was great eating on a quiet beach with the most amazing view. Everything is provided for the day so you don't need to worry about towels, snorkeling equipment, drinks, food, snacks etc. The only thing I would say is take some money with you so that you can tip the crew on the boat, they all work so hard to make it a day to remember. We didn't take any and felt awful at the end as we didn't have anything to tip them with (not than anyone asked)! Overall, fantastic trip, well managed, safe and provides everything you need. The icing on the cake was being dropped off from the speed boat onto our hotel beach. If you're thinking about booking this, do it. It's well worth spending the extra money than the other companies offering the same tour as it is so well run. Thank you all for a fantastic day!
Amazing day out. It was expensive but it is a quality product. Attention to detail for everything. Masks - even provided prescription masks. Masks and fins fitted well. Lots of drinks on board including reusable water bottles. The team running the boat were so helpful and kind. Great snorkelling, lovely lunch and catered to our every need and request. Highly recommend if you can afford it (it wasn’t cheap!) Top tip would be take travel sickness pills before departing and again for the return journey as the sea can be very choppy.
What an incredible day we had with 100 Degrees East! We were travelling as a family of three with our 7-year-old son, and from the very first email with Cara until the moment we stepped off the boat at the end of the day, everything was absolutely perfect. The communication beforehand was fantastic. Cara was so helpful and took the time to answer all of our questions. We had one special request: we really hoped to do the hike to the Pha Chan Charat Viewpoint on Koh Wua Talap. The team made it possible, and in the end we did the hike with a small group of eight peopl from our boat. What an experience… and what a breathtaking view! It was one of the highlights of our holiday. The snorkeling was incredible too. Our snorkeling guide, Mr. Star, was brilliant and made sure we saw so many different fish. It was such a fun experience for both us and our son. Lunch was delicious, the boat was beautiful, the equipment was excellent, and the entire crew was genuinely friendly, professional and passionate about what they do. You can really tell they want everyone to have the best possible day. If you’re visiting Koh Samui, we honestly can’t recommend this tour enough. Yes, there are cheaper alternatives. Two years ago we joined a similar trip on a much larger boat. But after experiencing 100 Degrees East, we can genuinely say: it is worth every extra baht. The small group, the personal attention, the flexibility and the overall experience make all the difference. Without a doubt one of the best days of our holiday. Thank you, Cara and the entire 100 Degrees East team for creating memories we’ll never forget!
We had an amazing day out and even though one of our party was seasick, the crew went above and beyond to ensure she was well looked after and still had a good day. Everything was superbly organised. Couldn’t have wished for anything better.
We had a fantastic day. This crew is doing everything to Letting you have a good time. They take very good care of you. After an hour-long boat ride, you arrive at the park for a beautiful snorkeling experience. Then a very pleasant kayak trip that was not difficult at all but in a very nice environment. They make for a very nice lunch on the beach. Delicious healthy Thai meal. Plenty of time to chill on different islands and do short hikes. Highly recommended! Thank you to the entire crew for this day!
We had a fantastic day out as a family and were supremely well looked after by the team. It was first time on a speed boat, sea snorkelling, kayaking, emerald lagoon hike for my daughters (5 year old and 8 year old) and 69 year old mum. The team looked after all of us and the other passengers very well. It was incredibly safe and well run boat tour, and miles away in terms of safety and numbers from many of the other operators who cram in as many passengers as possible. It does get booked up fast so do book in advance.
I was late in deciding what to do but I was able to get a place on one of the tours. Please check the agencies. This one stands out for fast, professional and respectful communication. Booking was easy and uncomplicated. The tour itself is worth it because of the small group and the great team! Good equipment for snorkeling, first time I got prescription masks! Good explanation and the tour was planned to circumvent the masses of other groups. It was one of the best tours I had the last 4 years in Thailand. 100degrees East specialises on these tours, so they are very professional. My tour was once postponed due to the weather, that was also a plus. Decision to postpone and not just to make money at the cost of the experience was very good. We finally had great weather, great snorkeling experience and a wonderful island and emerald lake view!
We had a truly fabulous day with the 100 Degrees East team - from start to finish we were taken such good care of, everything was thought of and it was brilliant fun. A brilliant trip - highly recommended
We booked a 'semi-private' speedboat trip to Angthong, with diving, and cannot fault it! Cara was really helpful in the lead up to our trip, checking in with extra information when needed. On the day we arrived to a full briefing from our boat leader, Jason, who was really friendly and explained everything thoroughly. The crew on the boat were all amazing...funny, friendly, attentive and genuinely seemed to love what they were doing. Jason, in particular, was always on the ball, noticing if anyone didn't seem quite right or if something needed doing. At one point I looked around for somewhere to put my drink and one of the guys immediately jumped up to take it from me. They were also all fantastic when it came to photographing our experience...they knew all the best locations and poses for getting the best pictures and videos and spontaneously took our phones when a good opportunity arose for a photo! Our dive was great, visibility was fairly poor, but there had been a storm the night before. Jason pointed out loads of animals and corals and really looked after all of us, especially the one first-time diver in our group. The food was amazing, unfortunately it rained very heavily during lunchtime, but the crew quickly moved everything from the beach onto the boat so we could still enjoy it. The reusable water bottles were a great touch, in a country where single use plastic is extremely high. Jason was extremely knowledgable and super enthusiastic about all aspects of the trip...the marine biology, the geology of the area, diving, local facts etc. We had a fantastic day and felt so looked after by all the team at 100 degrees East. Thank you.
