Embark on a full-day adventure as you journey north of Bangkok to the historic city of Ayutthaya, once the capital of a 14th-century Siamese kingdom. This UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its remarkable archaeological wonders, including magnificent palaces and temples. Your exploration begins at the impressive royal monastery, where you'll admire the striking white pagoda situated at the heart of the ancient compound. Next, visit Wat Mahathat, famous for the iconic tree with a Buddha head entwined in its roots. Continue your journey at Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit, where you'll delve deeper into Ayutthaya's rich history. Around 1:00 PM, you'll board a boat for a scenic cruise along the serene Chao Phraya River, enjoying a delightful buffet lunch as you soak in the beautiful riverside views. Your tour concludes with a return to River City at approximately 4:00 PM, filled with memories of the captivating history and culture of Ayutthaya.

07.30am - Check in at River City Shopping Complex 08.00am - Depart from Bangkok by air - conditioned coach to Ayutthaya province.
09.15am Here you will see several sacred temples and also famous landmarks, including Wat Phutthaisawan, Wat Mahathat, Wat Phra Sri Sanphet and Vihara Phra Mongkhon Bophit.
13.00pm Welcome on board to Grand Pearl Cruiser at WAT CHONG LOM (Pathum Thani province) for cruising back to Bangkok along the Chao Praya river. Superb buffet lunch which includes a delight variety of oriental and western cuisines will be served. The cruise passes through Nonthaburi pier, Koh Kret (Mon's community) and local Thai villages. 15.00pm Coffee break will be served while you enjoy the enchanting sights along the river banks such as the Royal bargeshouse, Thammasart University, The Royal Grand Palace, Wat Arun (Temple of Dawn) etc. 16.00pm Arrive at the River City Pier Shopping Complex.

This was a superb tour led by a truly outstanding tour guide, Donna. The historical sites we visited were amazing, and were enhanced by Donna’s narrative. The culminating river cruise was excellent as was the buffet lunch on board.

Amazing experience with Donna . Good food for people who eat non veg , and great relaxation time on cruise after much walkiing at Ayuthaya

Great transfere to the ruins and you get to spend a nice amount of time there and learn the history. The boat portion was ok. The food is buffet style with nothing really that good. The boat trip down the river is pretty long and some pretty views.

We enjoyed our tour with our guide Donna very much. Lunch in the boat was a little disappointing. Our group of six arrived. There were many people already in the boat eating lunch. Many of the items were cold. And one item never got replaced. We did enjoy the ride back on the boat.

The tour guide was nice. The coach driver was good. The guide had plenty of information to tell us about the different places we stopped, but it didn't give us too much time to explore, etc..So we felt a little rushed at times to get back to the bus. Overall it was nice though. The lunch cruise back to Bangkok was nice too with good foods.

Our guide Donna was excellent. She is funny and engaging, while also explaining the details of what we were going to see. The best thing I liked about this trip was that everything is very punctual. The tour started on the dot on time, and we were back in the hotel on time. Ayuthaya is beautiful - and while the tour doesnt stop at every single place, it does stop at all the key highlights - the Wat Mahathat , the Main palace & the sleeping Buddha. The highlight of the trip is clearly the cruise back from Ayuthaya to Bangkok. The food on board is fantastic (you have vegetarian options as well for those who need it) and you get to see some very beautiful sights along the river. This tour is highly recommended for couples who need a structured trip, and for families with children.

Our guide Donna knew so much about Ayutthaya and gave good advice all day. The boat ride back to Bangkok was actually a river cruise on a nice boat with an elaborate buffet. I was pleasantly surprised by that. We had a great day.

The tour was cancelled within the 24hr cancellation period and they tried to make us cancel it to avoid paying for it. Had to contact Tripadvisor to get a refund. This was very poor and disappointing.
