What makes it truly unique is its location: right in the middle of the red-light district, creating a striking contrast between the sacred and the worldly.
Dam Square has been the heart of Amsterdam since the 13th century. Originally, a dam was built here on the Amstel River, which is where the city gets its name.
The Brienenhofje is one of Amsterdam’s best-kept secrets. Hidden behind a modest façade on the Prinsengracht, it’s a peaceful oasis right in the heart of the busy city.
Housed in a charming canal house, this museum takes you on a journey from the Himalayas to the blooming Dutch tulip fields.
The Anne Frank House is one of the most moving and powerful places in Amsterdam. In this hidden annex behind a canal-side warehouse on the Prinsengracht, the Frank family went into hiding during World War II to escape the Nazis.
The Nine Streets form a charming shopping area in the heart of the canal district, nestled between the Prinsengracht, Keizersgracht, Herengracht, and Singel canals.
