David was my photo guide for the two-hour walk, and the canals was great! He had an extra tripod for me to use as we walked at my pace, stopping when I saw something I wanted to photograph. With the suggestion of different angles, David helped me get the photo I was looking for my Christmas cards.

David was extremely helpful as being flexible about the start time. He made it easy to find him at Amsterdam Centraal Station. He provided a tripod and led us to some excellent photo ops, also providing setting suggestions for the best results. Well worth the money for anyone remotely serious about photography.

******DO NOT BOOK! Viator tour operator advises where to meet him and then will arrive early to send photo of exact location. I messaged operator with no response. No photo provided. Waited and waited with no show. Even have photo confirming I was there. Requested refund which was denied as Tour Operator said he was there case close. Viator took operators position. No refund. Never use Viator again. DO NOT BOOK!!!!
Despite what this customer states, she was in fact the one to not show up. I waited for 20 minutes longer than the start time and then before leaving took a geotag photo of my exact location which included the clock on Amsterdam Centraal Train station proving my location and the time I was there until. I then used this photo to offer proof to Viator that I was indeed at the right location and the right time, and hence no refund was possible. Clearly you are disgruntled because you didn't receive a refund, but please try to be honest with your feedback. Other potential clients can simply check my other reviews to gain truer understanding of the service I provide, and therefore your review looks unreasonable. Thank you.
This was one of the best experiences I’ve booked during my travels. David was knowledgeable and patient teaching us night photography basics and showing us how to execute them. He took us to fantastic locations to shoot and I’m going to take what I learned and use it on future trips. Highly recommend.

Being relatively new to night photography, I took advantage of spending some time with an experienced photographer. Fortunately for me, I was David’s only pupil Tuesday evening and his insights were extremely helpful. It seems easy enough to balance the exposure parameters in principle but having the help of someone with a trained eye to visualize the scene from a camera’s point of view was invaluable. Ordinarily, I’d be self-conscious about setting up a tripod in a busy touristy area but the benefits of doing it with another person, just having a relaxed conversation cannot be overstated. It was only afterward that I reviewed some of David’s work online (davidjobradley.com). Stunning work, definitely worth the cost to work with an accomplished professional.
Fabulous way to explore Amsterdam with a knowledgeable, talented and enthusiastic photographer as the guide! David was a great companion and showed us some of the quieter spots for night photography. Picked up a few tips and had lots of laughs hearing David's stories. Look forward to doing another tour when I am next visiting!
Recently spent the evening with David on the night tour and had a very enjoyable time. He was very knowledgeable about the local spots and indulged my requests for some others that I wanted to hit. He was very flexible on the tour, starting at 8:00pm to allow us to catch the blue hour and extended our time out to over two hours - Thank you David for a great time. I gave him 4 stars, only because I really didn't need any help. I am an experienced night photographer and was using him mostly to find the best places in the most time efficient manner. I was expecting some interaction from him to review and make suggestions which was minimal. For those that need more hands one, he may be great. I looked over his shoulder several times and he clearly knew what he was doing. and his portfolio has some excellent shots. I would highly recommend David for anyone wanting a great evening out shooting night photos. Some photos to follow
David was an excellent guide. I learned a lot from him, and he was really patient with me. I learn more from doing than from reading a book or watching a video, so this tour was extremely helpful in furthering my understanding of manual shooting. We had great discussions about depth, composition and equipment. I highly recommend for all levels!
