Amsterdam Highlights - Group Cruise with Apple Pie, 2 Drinks

Description
Discover Amsterdam’s highlights aboard one of our classic canal boats in an intimate, small-group setting. On this 1.5-hour cruise, your friendly English-speaking captain will guide you past the city’s most iconic sights while sharing fun facts and local stories. Enjoy a tasty slice of Dutch apple pie with whipped cream and two drinks of your choice (alcoholic or non-alcoholic) as you relax and take in the views. The perfect way to start your morning in Amsterdam! We operate different boats depending on availability: the Stan Huygens, a historic yacht once chartered weekly by Freddy Heineken, offers live guiding and host-served drinks for up to 24 guests; and the Pure Spirit, a beautifully restored classic launch for up to 16 guests, features a semi-open design and self-service bar after the first round. Windows and sunroofs adjust based on weather. Vegan and gluten-free options are not available.

Itinerary
We begin the cruise in the Royal Streets, on the Keizersgracht or Emperors Canal next to the Jordaan district, a beautiful unspoilt area of town at the north end of the canal district. You will board the boat and end the cruise outside the original hat factory of Amsterdam, 'Het Rode Hood' (The Red Hat)
The first district we cruise through is always a favourite to explore by boat and by foot. A charming, relaxed area of town, just outside the centre and away from the hustle and bustle of the busy tourist traps.
Cruising South through the Jordaan district, we will pass Anne Frank House. If a visit to the museum is on your itinerary, Anne Frank House is just a five minute walk from the departure dock, but remember to book tickets in advance!
We continue the cruise around the Canal Belt or Canal Ring, through the picturesque waterways, passing the stunningly preserved 17th century canal houses, toward the River Amstel
At the end of the original canal belt, we arrive at the iconic Amstel River. The only natural river in the city of Amsterdam and where the city takes it's name. Here we see the beautiful Skinny Bridge and many famous landmarks.
Cruising back through the Herengracht or Gentlemans Canal, we see the biggest mansion houses of the city centre. This area is called the Golden Bend, where the most wealthy merchant families resided. Here you will see the fancy ornate facades, which often depict the trade of the merchant famlies.

We had an amazing time. Pauline was the host and she was amazing and very knowledgable. It would be helpful to be able to tip with a card machine
Fabulous 1.5 hr cruise - there were about 14 of us - very nice flowers on the table, apple pie and nice wine/beer/sodas/water etc. Bram was our guide - personable and provided a great tour..nice guy! It was a pretty afternoon and there was plenty of shade without obstructing our views. Our boat was a beautifully restored wooden vessel - the Pure Spirit - (and even had a small bathroom). It was a perfect afternoon cruising the canals with Pure Boats -we highly recommend them!
Oliver was great. He was very professional and he was very knowledgeable about the history of Amsterdam.
Oliver was fantastic! We loved the cruise. Thank you.
Oliver was a great guide. We learned so much about the city and its history.
Beautiful boat, informative , knowledgeable and engaging guide, and nice wine cheese trays for guest. An excellent way to understand Amsterdam in a compressed visit.
What an enjoyable way to start our first day in Amsterdam. We had a total of ten people on board and Captain Klaus was very informative.
We loved our tour with Benjamin. He was very knowledgeable of the area. Benjamin pointed out the sights not to be missed with lots of information. We enjoyed getting a different perspective of Amsterdam from the canals.
John made us feel very welcome & comfortable from the minute we stepped on the boat! He also shared extensive knowledge of Amsterdam which made the trip very interesting! The Apple Pie was delicious too! Thanks John!
Captain Robert was charming and so knowledgeable. This was a small group tour with plenty of room and quiet enough to hear the information Robert was sharing. This tour was recommended to us by our daughter who took it a couple years ago and we would highly recommend it as well. Great way to spend the morning.
