Amsterdam Highlights Bike or E-Bike Tour

Description
What sets our Amsterdam City Bike Tour apart is the way we guide it. This is not a follow the flag race through traffic. It is a well-paced, well-managed ride designed to help confident cyclists experience Amsterdam like locals do. With a maximum of 15 guests, your guide can keep the group together, choose the most enjoyable cycling lanes, and make space for questions, photos, and real stories along the way. You will get a clear safety briefing at the start, then ride through the city with a guide who shares local insights about Amsterdam’s neighborhoods, history, and everyday bike culture, plus practical tips you can use for the rest of your trip.

We had a fun and educational bike tour of Amsterdam. It was a great way to see the city and understand how to navigate bike traffic as a pedestrian. Our bike guide, Ginny, was excellent and loved sharing her knowledge and history about Amsterdam with our group. Perfect 2-hour activity.
Our tour guide was great. Very informative and great way to see the city.
Thanks Janet. A bike puts far more of Amsterdam within reach than walking does, which is the whole idea behind our Amsterdam Highlights Bike or E-Bike Tour. Our guides live in this city, so what you hear on the ride comes from the place rather than a script. Glad you rode with Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam. Ashton
Amalia made our tour really special! It was our first day in Amsterdam and a bike is the best way to get your bearings. Amalia is truly passionate about history and created some fun while we learned. I highly recommend!
Thanks Chris. Getting your bearings on day one is exactly what the Amsterdam Highlights Bike or E-Bike Tour is built for, and Amalia's passion for the history is what turns a route into a story. A bike covers more of this city in a few hours than walking manages in a day. I will make sure she sees this. Thanks for riding with Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam. Ashton
Absolutely perfect way to get around and see Amsterdam. The tour was perfect. I've forgotten our guides name, but she was perfect. From Italy with so much local knowledge. Highly recommend
Thanks Aidan. Birds, a windmill and a working farm in one relaxed loop is the Countryside Bike Tour from Amsterdam doing its job. Ten riders is small enough that everyone gets a turn at the front and nobody is dropped at the back, which is the difference between a bike tour and a coach. Glad the e-bikes and the luggage bags made for an easy day with Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam. Ashton
This tour was so such a lovely experience. The electric bikes made it very easy to do the 25 miles. I am a 58-year-old woman was not very active and I had no problem. Our tour guide, Rinse, was so knowledgeable. We stopped at several points and he gave us information and we were able to take pictures. We stopped in a beautiful little town that looks like something out of a movie. There were lovely little neighborhood cats that came out to greet us. It was absolutely beautiful and worth every penny. I highly recommend this if you wanna experience the Amsterdam countryside. The homes we saw along the way are nothing like anything you would see in the United States. The lifestyle was simple and clean and beautiful. You will not regret it if you book this tour.
Thanks Lisa. Twenty five miles and no problem at all, that is the e-bike doing what it does best. Lovely to read, and come ride with us again. Ashton
Great tour. Very easy to book, get bikes and meet with tour guide. Tour guide was great and very informative. Spent an appropriate amount of time discussing the sites.
Thanks Jason. Two hours is exactly what our Amsterdam Highlights Bike Tour is built for, enough time to cover the inner city properly without eating your whole day. Glad the booking and bike pickup were easy too. Come ride with us again. Ashton
Friendly guide who made you feel cared about. The tour was definitely over sold though with a group of 16 riders and then also the guide = too much. Poor guide tried to even say this but was left with the large group and spent most the time counting heads and when we lost someone it appears their bike was even hit by a car and the guide had to leave us to get the kid a new bike. Left little time to get any "tour" in my opinion so didn't feel very informed about anything. It was a nice day and enjoyable to be on a bike with my own child. Wouldn't sign up for this one specifically again. Bikes were in good shape.
Hi Kristy, Thank you for the feedback, and I am sorry the tour did not deliver what you were expecting. Our maximum group size is 15 guests per guide. If your group was larger than that on the day, something went wrong on our side and I want to look into it. Please reach out to us directly at mikestoursamsterdam@gmail.com so we can investigate the booking and come back to you. Thank you for taking the time to write, and I am glad you and your child still enjoyed the ride. Best, Ashton
Excellent guide! Sebastian knew the city inside out and had much more knowledge when the Americans started asking difficult questions about Europe in general 🙌 He really made the trip unforgettable. We had small kids cycling and he helped everyone around the city centre with no accidents even though the traffic can be crazy at times 🤠 We thought we ordered electric bikes, but regular bikes was just as good. There are no hills in Amsterdam 😇 Enjoy! Greetings from Norway! Or like we say after the world cup: Row, row!! 💪
Thanks so much for this fantastic review and greetings to Norway! We're delighted you had such a great time exploring Amsterdam by bike with Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam. Sebastian will love reading this. His knowledge, humour, and ability to keep the group safe while navigating Amsterdam's busy bike lanes really do make him a brilliant guide. Great to hear the regular bikes worked out perfectly too. Amsterdam being wonderfully flat certainly helps! Thanks for riding with us and for the laughs. We hope to welcome you back for another Amsterdam bike tour in the future. Ashton
A superb tour with Stephane who was excellent. We were in a group of 9. Stephane explained the 'health and safety' requirements - including cycling in Amsterdam which is an experience! Stephane asked if there was anything we wanted to see which was a good touch - to personalise the tour. We rode at a steady pace throughout the tour - with frequent stops which allowed Stephane to explain local details - he is very knowledgable! We had electric bikes which probably aren't needed for a city tour
Thanks so much for this, Stuart. We're delighted you enjoyed the Amsterdam Highlights Bike Tour with Mike's Bike Tours Amsterdam and had such a great experience exploring the city with Stephane. He'll be very happy to read your kind words. He does a fantastic job keeping everyone comfortable and safe while sharing his knowledge of Amsterdam, and it's great to hear you appreciated the personal touches and relaxed pace. You're also right that Amsterdam is wonderfully flat, so regular bikes are a great option for the city, although we're always happy to offer e-bikes for guests who prefer a little extra assistance. Thanks again for riding with us, and we hope to welcome you back for another Amsterdam bike tour in the future. Ashton
Our guide Jaap was very informative and kept the perfect pace for our small group. We saw a great overview of Amsterdam and were given lots of ideas of where we could spend our time during the rest of our visit. Highly recommend!
Thanks Wendy. Doing a bike tour on your first day is exactly how we'd plan an Amsterdam visit too, you get the lay of the city plus a local's list of what's worth your remaining days. Our small groups are what let guides like Jaap set the right pace for everyone. I'll pass this on to him. Enjoy the rest of your travels. Ashton
