Unfortunately someone else took our spot for the cocktails and snacks we eventualy got two cocktails there was no real commentary on trip staff were polite
Hey there, we apologize your experience was underwhelming, we do appreciate your feedback however and will look to make immediate changes to improve our product
This canal cruise was definitely the best way to see Amsterdam at night!! The cocktails were delicious! Although the description says the cruise comes with only two cocktails each, there were also unlimited non-alcoholic beverages and red and white wines. Our tour guide was fantastic—she did an excellent job at providing commentary and was extremely attentive to the needs of all guests. Can’t wait to go on this tour on our next visit to Amsterdam!
Dear 814malloryk, Thanks a lot for this great review about our Cocktail Cruise. We're glad to hear you were surprised as well. We hope to see you again in the future as well. Kind regards, Stromma Netherlands
Amsterdam by night seen from the canals is a must if you're in town, and this cocktail cruise does the trick while providing astonishingly good cocktails and plenty of snacks. Don't be thrown by the total chaos at the boarding pier, the staff is super friendly and very helpful. Our waiter on the boat provided some interesting tidbids about the sights and quite a bit more free food and drinks than were included in our tickets. I would definitely recommend this experience.
My friend and I really enjoyed our evening. We did the cocktail cruise *please note there is also a cheese and wine option as well. We had snacks and several cocktails which were yummy. The driver shared some history and facts as we cruised on the water. It's not the best for taking photo's as its so dark if you are doing it as more as a sight seeing trip, I would do a day cruise. The only odd thing was the boat wasn't full yet they had us sitting with another couple, so we just asked to move to another table that was free so we could have a window seat, which worked out fine. Just make sure you choose carefully as you can't swap from cocktail to wine due to numbers. Enjoyable evening, just make sure you pack a jacket as if people open their windows it gets cold. Otherwise the boat is covered and warm.
We booked this last minute via Trip Advisor, and so glad we did. The tour started at 8.30pm. It was either to find and on arrival the staffs were very welcoming and friendly. The tour last 1 1/2 - 2hrs. We thought it was a lovely start to our weekend, being shown around a lot of the main attractions and explanations of the places we were passing. We were offered two glasses of wine, two cocktails and nibbles. You certainly wont fill up on the nibbles, but it was a lovely touch. As the tour went on and it started getting darker it just became more of a beautiful view, with the canal & buildings lit up and the calming waters. My husband and I were glad we opted for the evening tour, and would recommend as a must when coming to Amsterdam. You feel you have seen a lot with the tour. Great for the price and would be suitable for couples or families.
We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. I thought that it would be dark but the sun only goes down much later than when we did the cruise. Cocktails were excellent and the snacks were toast with various dips as well as crisps. The wine was flowing and the atmosphere excellent. Definitely not something to do by yourself though
To begin with the starting address was wrong! Then we were the only tables with a couple so no view of the window and no negotiation possible! The waiter had a clear preference for people who spoke Dutch! Then the "tapas" which are only mayonnaise croutons or chips served with cocktails very low in alcohol... NULL!!!
DO NOT BOOK! We booked this tour almost a month in advanced based on the reviews and traveled August 6th, 2018. We expected a guided tour with at least some narration pointing out the sites. We were a party of 4 and were seated next to the toilet with an obstructed view and no ventilation. All other seats were taken -- although several with just 2 people. There was no narration at all -- the boat just went around for 90 minutes and then docked. The wine was flowing but not all of the cocktails on the menu were available because of a "problem with the kitchen." The whole made snacks were pieces of toast with dip. We were VERY DISAPPOINTED AND FRUSTRATED.
Weekend with friends spent between the canals of Amsterdam between culture and fun, excellent cruise to spend a couple of hours looking at the city from a different perspective.
Went on this tour during our last few days in Amsterdam. It was interesting. Got to see a lot of the area we didn't see before by walking. The hosts were informative and they kept the wine pouring. We also stopped at a pizza parlor and were serviced individual pizza's. Very enjoyable.
