Captain was great. Gave excellent information on the tour. Communication with passengers was very good.
Very knowledgeable, professional and ready for all kinds of weather. Take this early in vacation so you can use information the rest of your stay.
This would have been a 5 star review but we got there at 8:00 for our 8:15 cruise but after waiting we called the office to find out that the time had changed to 9:00 pm. We were never informed. 🤷♀️ The skipper ((Sven) was exceptional. He made our evening wonderful.
We loved our tour. Sven was great. There was a nice selection of wine, champagne, beer, and soft drinks available and the cheese board was a nice touch. Seeing the city from the canals at night was a fun way to see a lot of the city, especially if you don’t want to walk. We highly recommend this tour!
It's a lovely way to see Amsterdam. The boat itself is small, intimate and comfortable. We were supplied with snacks and drinks throughout the tour. Our guide Sven was informative and entertaining. Happy that we went at sunset, when the colours and lights of the city change.
Fantastic Night Canal Cruise in Amsterdam! Our guide was born and raised in Amsterdam and it showed! He was friendly, honest, genuine, self-deprecating, and genuinely funny. He shared great history along with personal anecdotes that I could actually relate to, which made the whole tour feel much more personal and enjoyable. We booked the 9:00 pm slot specifically to see the city lights, and it was the perfect choice. Having already seen the daytime views, the nighttime contrast was beautiful and really highlighted the canals in a whole new way. The snacks and drinks provided were just the right amount, especially since we had already eaten dinner beforehand. My wife, her sister, her husband, and I all thoroughly enjoyed the full two hours. It was a highlight of our trip! **Only tiny suggestion:** Adding some soft background music would enhance the ambience even more. Other than that, it was excellent – highly recommend!
Tour operator canceled our trip with very little notice. We are waiting to see if we get a refund. Viatour, if you are monitoring this review, please issue a refund as we are unable to contact you internationally.
Robert did a great job with driving and narrating, plus bar tending. Time flew by and we saw a lot of interesting sights.
Cas was fabulous !!!!He provided from the very start of the trip a beautiful charcuterie board for us to enjoy and had much enthusiasm in his presentation during the trip. He pointed out the house boats on the river and explained some interesting facts about several of them. Cas showed us historical buildings along the river with a description of their history. We learned about tilting buildings, the largest home on the river, the beautiful bridges and preparation for King’s day. He also discussed cultural facts regarding Amsterdam. Lastly where we good get a taste of a great Dutch Apple pie!
A wonderful way to start our Amsterdam trip! We learned a ton, the wine and snacks were delicious, and we had a great time chatting with the people on the boat. Our captain was knowledgeable and hilarious. Highly recommend!!!
