I had an awesome experience on the Nile cruise tour. The first cruise I booked cancelled the day before arrival. Heba did me a huge favor by allowing me to rebook a cruise with her company last minute, which saved my trip. My tour guide Hatem was awesome! He is so knowledgeable about Egyptian history and gave me a great and safe experience. He took us to all the sites mentioned in the listing and some great places to get quality souvenirs too, like a perfume place to learn about the different scents and watch the bottles be made by hand and the workers quarter where they make vases, tiles, and other thing by hand from stone. I was treated extremely well and given very fair prices. Highly recommend to stop here if you are looking for unique items to take home. The sunrise hot air balloon ride is an absolute must! Its a very early way to start the day but worth it. Overall the boat room were very clean, had a great view, beds are comfortable, food is good, and the staff is friendly. Had a great time, definitely recommend.
The sights were amazing but honestly the best part was our guide Mohamed Shakour. Extremely knowledgeable and fun. By the end of our trip he was officially one of us. We wish we could have him be our tour guide in every country.
We were lucky to have used Egypt Gift Tours for our booking. Heba in the office is super responsive and helpful and Ahmed the guide is so knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Nothing is too much trouble and they help with any question you may have. If you are taking a Nile cruise I highly recommend this company … you won’t be disappointed ! Thanks Heba and Ahmed for making our Egypt trip so fantastic !!
A great cruise with an excellent guide. A great combination of relaxation on board and getting to know Egypt. I'd love to go again!
Liebe Krista, vielen Dank für die netten Worte. Wir freuen uns, dass Sie eine tolle Erfahrung hatten. Ihr positives Feedback bedeutet uns sehr viel! Bis zum nächsten Mal.
Everything was amazing the people so friendly we enjoyed the food great holiday we would recommend this to our friends we will be back
Absolutely mesmerizing experience on the 4 Days Nile Cruise guided by the incredibly knowledgeable Hatem. His expertise and passion for Egyptian history brought every sightseeing moment to life. The journey from Aswan to Luxor, with stops at iconic landmarks and the unforgettable Abu Simbel, was made even more special with Hatem insightful commentary. His attention to detail and engaging storytelling truly enriched the entire experience. Highly recommended for an unforgettable exploration of Egypt wonders.
In summary, the trip is and a complete rip off. 1. Shi-tty Rooms The rooms we got look nothing like in the pictures. Worse, the bed is bended in the middle, the pipe in the bathroom is broken, and the duvet simply is dirty. I highly suspect that the operator has put us on a lower rank cruise and did not notify us in any way. I find this tour operator dishonest. Once you are in Egypt, you will note how low the prices are here. A large bottle of water is EGP15. We paid more than US$2,500 (for 4 persons) for the 4-day tour, which, according to the price level in Egypt, is a complete rip off. The tour operator also offered a tour to the Nubian village for US$40/per person. We did not go as the price simply does not make sense. Instead, we rented a boat and paid a local kid to take us around in the Nubian village for a total sum of EGY500 (for 4 people). 2. Asking for tips all the time Since the moment we joined the tour, the tour guide has been non-stop asking us to pay tips here and there. He gaslighted us the whole trip, saying stuff like you cannot buy anything with EGP100 nowadays, EGP100 is practically nothing... he has put his daughters in international school and the tuition is very expensive blah blah blah. Frankly, whether we tip or not should be entirely up to us. If the service is outstanding, I will be very happy to tip. But we felt that we were forced to tip. Also, I do not see why we, the tourists, should foot his daughter's tuition bills. If you cannot afford it, then don't put the kids in international schools - that is my advice! 3. Rushed tours When I booked the tour, what I have in mind is what plays in "Death on Nile" --- the cruise slowly approaching the temples and you are breath-taken by the view. No.. that is simply not what was. There are usually at least 4 - 5 cruise ships docking at the pier at the same time. And just imagine, 400 people going into the temple at the same time and you are only given 30 minutes to tour around the temple (which by the way is packed with people)! The tour is so bad, we eventually decided to drop out one day earlier and did our own tours in Luxor for 2 and half days. And guess what, we had a great time! We took our own pace and could sit down and relax at the cafeterias. We managed to go around with taxis for EGP500 per day! With the rest of the money, we stayed at Sofitel Winter Palace, which is so comfortable and beyond luxurious. In conclusion, I would not recommend taking this tour at all. But if you, having read this review, are still interested in taking a river cruise on Nile (to be fair Nile is beautiful), just take the shortest one. Also make sure that you have the name of the cruise when booking. A lot of people feel unsafe going around in Egypt. That is not the case. You just have to be firm on the price you will pay and be firm about what you want. Hope this review will help you make an informed decision.
Dear Customer, We would like to thank you for your review, however your review is very far away from the truth!! -You and the whole group of 15 person were on a 5 star deluxe cruise and we didn't had any complaint from you or any other Traveler from their rooms. If you mentioned that while the Operator was checking with you and while you were on board, we could have changed it for you. - The tour Operator in charge was checking with you everyday from the first moment you arrived on the cruise and you confirmed the tour guide was great, the tours are Amazing and cruise is nice. - You didn't pay 2500$ USD for your group of 4 Travelers, you can review your booking with TripAdvisor. -The 40$ USD per person for the Nubian Village is the normal price and there are more expensive options advertised on TripAdvisor/Viator. The 500 eg.pounds you paid must be the Village accross from your hotel in Aswan, with a short sailing to walk around the houses, however our itinerary was to the Nubian Village on Soheil Island more than 45 minutes by Motorboat each way and a drink or some food in one of the Nubian families houses. -the tour guide didn't push you to tip anybody, and you never tip!! even at the hotel you were staying in Aswan the night before the tour (Sofitel Legend Old Cataract), the bell men who carried your luggage to the van, while one of your family was to give them small tip you asked him not to tip. -It is true that 100 eg.pounds doesn't worth anything now in Egypt, due to the economy situation. -You booked a tour and took it as advertised, each single site is estimated with the time. If we take longer time at each site, we would miss the cruise schedule. You and your family were always late than the rest of the group. -The cruises have fixed itinerary and they do sailing at the same time, and arrive the temples at the same time, which is organised by the Egyptian Government for the safety of travelers and for good sailing conditions and timing over the River Nile. Also, Egypt is a country attracting millions of travelers every year and No wonder, there are 1000s of them are visiting its fascinating temples at the same time and day. -You still telling things, that didn't happen. You checked out on day 4 after completing the whole 3-Nights and we transferred you to Winter Palace hotel Luxor. -We are not sure about the 2nd or the 1st.500 eg.pounds, you paid everywhere for your tours, which doesn't make any sence about your review!! We are always keen to select the best cruise option and offer the best service ever!
I had the pleasure of having M Shakour as my tour guide during a Nile Cruise from Aswan to Luxor, and I must say he exceeded my expectations. From the moment we met, he was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. His passion for history and storytelling made each site we visited come to life. He went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, making sure all our needs were met. He answered all our questions made the trip. This is an unforgettable experience.
I strongly recommend that people choose this tour! If you want to see a LOT of Egypt's sites in the South, and don't mind waking up early, then this is the cruise for you! our tour guide, Rocky, was awesome, really knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. The boat itself was bigger than expected but very well organised, clean and well presented. There were lots of food options for every meal. This isn't the type of cruise where you relax a lot, as the agenda is very full but for me it was perfect. We did still get some time to enjoy the deck of the boat. The details of the cruise are accurate, just make sure you read them carefully (some things are prepaid, but tips are all extra and entry to the sites are extra too). The Abu simbel trip is a really early start and a long bus journey, because of the dam location it has to be by road, but it is worth it, it was a dream come true to see it. So, bring your energy and enjoy this wonderful cruise. Thank you :)
This is a really fantastic cruise and tour. Well organised and with lot's packed into the agenda, my wife and I had a great time. The cruise ship is comfortable and the views across the river from our room were stunning. Heba at Egypt Gift Tours was super helpful and communicated with us over WhatsApp as soon as we booked online, walking us through the options for the cruise and helping us decide which package was right for us. Once we arrived, Eslam, our guide, was very knowledgable and made the trip a true delight. This cruise will certainly keep you on your toes with some early starts to see all the locations on the agenda, but it is worth doing and overall this is a great way to see the key historic sights along the Nile that Egypt is famous for. Highly recommended!
