Herculaneum is fantastic - small crowds, not too big, and very interesting history when viewed in tandem with Pompeii. We completely enjoyed the tour with our guide Giovanni and didn't need to bake in the heat too long.
Giovanni is a fantastic guide. No question he could not answer about Erculano (Herculaneum ...iur tour)or even Pompeii. Easy to understand with deep knowledge of the site. If you iu are interested in history come to Herculaneum and skip Pompeii.

The tour covers all important sites in Ercolano. The tour guide, Giovanni, showed excellent knowledge, very informative. He wasn't just reading a script, he knew well enough to explain each site. It's 2 hours packed with amazing, interesting, moving experiences.
The original plan was to go to Herculaneum by train but that was changed to a pick up by minibus which went very smoothly. The guide was excellent - well informed and clearly an expert in his subject. If we'd gone under our own steam, I'm sure we would not have learned anywhere near as much about this fascinating site. Spring time is a good time to go as it is not too busy

Good day! My visit to the ruins of Herculano was extraordinary, thanks to the attentive and well-informed guidance of our guide Giovanni. Besides the sensitivity in observing the curiosity of the visitors who were in the group, what struck me most was the deep knowledge of the history of these ruins that it possesses, as well as the curiosities and surprises that were emerging along the course. Giovanni was an excellent tour guide! Knowledgeable, friendly, well spoken. I was very impressed with how organized the travel agency was (Tempio). They gave perfect instructions on getting to the train, meeting the guide and the times.
